I cry so easily especially during kids movies. I cry at the end of Wall-e when eve tries to fix him and it's not working.

I cry nearly every day for kids with cancer! which is why I am replying to your post. I'm sorry about your nephew, I hope he will be ok.

Thank you Shorty touched ...he has a mutant cancer. It brings the survival rate average from 1 year (normal survival rate for glioblastoma multiforme but the mutant is almost it's own category) to an average of 10 to 20 years, which is such a short length of time sad but he swears he'll beat that. His attitude is so inspiring.

sad I assume you meant months not years? My heart goes out to you and him and family. Alot of families create a facebook page for support, prayers, donations...etc. If he or his family has one I would love to know it so I can give him some love.

No...from what he's telling me (and the drs at Boston Mass are telling him) without the mutant factor he'd only have a year at most. But with that trait it jumps to 10 to 20 years. He's had three surgeries already to remove most of the tumor. He's on an all organic, macrobiotic, vegetarian diet, is looking into hemp oil, as well as the chemo, etc. He is so intelligent and loving. He was going to Hong Kong on a student scholarship because of his amazing grades...learned to speak Mandarin...he says he's enrolling for the fall semester anyway.

He came out as gay a few months ago, and his step-father left his mom over it (good effing riddance). He lives in the deep south so he lost a lot of friends. But he has me and his mom (my niece) is there with him all the way!! They don't have a FB page or site set up. If they start one will let you know. Thank you!! heart

OMG, this is soooooooo stupid, but here goes....

I was at a market just chillaxin', and I saw the cutest little boy.
I think he must have been 4 or 5 at the most, and he was

holding hands with his grandmom. She was very old, and walked

slowly, and they were speaking in Thai so I only understood bits

and parts of it.

He was giggling and she was giggling with him. And she was tired

and sat down in a chair at the same outdoor restaurant I was

sitting at.

That boy loves his grandmom completely. I could see it in

the way he was smiling at her. And vice versa. It was like

the sweetest little moment. She ordered him 'daeng soda' or

cherry red soda, and he sat their enjoying it with her.

It just just so sweet. Then my stupid mind started racing rolleyes

I realized this was just a flash in the pan of time. She was not

going to be around for too many years more. His innocense

would fade. And she'd be just a memory once he became

a jaded middle aged man like me.

I'm not sure why it hit me so hard, but I had to quickly pay

for my food, rush out of the place, and pretty much

sobbed as quietly as I could walking away.

And this was on a great day. A day I was perfectly happy in.

The impermanence of it all. The sweetness of it all.

The innocense that could never last. I don't know...it just hit me.
