What the hell is up with the Maryland State Police? Over the past 4 months there have been two highly publicized incidents involving starstruck Maryland troopers asking for autographs and pictures, don't they have anything better to do when they are not on speedtrap duty? I don't see how anyone can have any respect for these guys.

Apparently cops can get star struck, too. Two Maryland State Police officers assigned to security in the New York Yankees dugout Sunday at Camden Yards in Baltimore asked shortstop Derek Jeter and outfield Nick Swisher for autographs while the game was still going on.

According to the report, the troopers, who weren’t identified, asked for the autographs in the top of the ninth inning, after the Yankees had taken a 7-2 lead over the Baltimore Orioles in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.

Swisher, according to an unidentified person who witnessed the autograph request, “was livid,” The Post reported.

Later, when the newspaper asked Jeter if he had ever experienced that sort of thing, he said, “What do you think?”

2 Chainz was in Maryland last night where he was arrested for marijuana possession.

Chainz, who argues that police were just messing with him, was taken into custody at around 10 PM last night. Maryland State Police pulled over a white van that contained Chainz and six members of his entourage.

Apparently, when Chainz was taken to a station and released, the police wanted to take pictures with him. It is still unclear who asked to take the photo—Chainz or the cops—but he went on a Twitter rant shortly after.
