I live around the corner from a McDonald's. So in my neighborhood, I almost always see wrappers and empty bags lying on the ground. Today, I walked in to buy a couple of parfaits, my first visit there in some months, and about the only "food" I'm willing to still ingest from them.

Sure enough, the moron who exits in front of me takes his sandwich out of the wrapper and promptly chucks it on the sidewalk, instantly identifying himself to any who may be watching as a worthless piece of trash. Am I being harsh? I don't think so. This low IQ goof could have pulled the sandwich out five seconds earlier while still inside and tossed it in the garbage. He could have kept the wrapper in the bag until he came across the nearest garbage can. But no, he just dropped it right on the sidewalk.

I've seen this many times over the years. There is clearly a certain subculture of moron who not only considers this scummy behavior acceptable, but seems to engage in it as a matter of course, or perhaps as some sort of societal protest that could only mke sense to the dumbest of the dumb.

And there you have my rant of the day.

A typical value meal, at least in NYC, can run you between 7 to 9 dollars. For less, or the exact same amount, you could go to your local diner and get a burger and fries that will taste better, look better, and will be served to you in an environment far less nauseating than your typical trash filled Mcdonalds.

And I see a lot more litter in poorer neighborhoods. And it's not just that the litter stays there longer or that nobody cleans it up becuase I also see more people throwing stuff on the ground without a care than I do in wealthier neighborhoods.

A lack of home training; you have to teach children not to be litter bugs. Everything goes out the window of a car or on the ground when walking and eating on the streets, instead of in a trash can is atypical my (Black) community. I was in Northwest IN. yesterday and the road leading to a friends community was littered with Micky D's and other garbage. The thing is, the people in her community clean up that road once a month; I've seen them pick that road clean and in less than a hour there's litter. Of course when you get up into their community you don't see a scrap of paper. I suspect some folks who don't live in the area want to invite misery into their community.

Just as bad in New Zealand, their rubbish is everywhere. Go to any empty section or park, what do you see, McDonalds rubbish, mostly the drink containers complete with straw and lid and the fries containers.

We have BK, KFC and Wendys too, but you seldom see their garbage, always Maccas. Why because they have 50 restuarants in Auckland compared to about 25 BK's and KFC and very few Wendy's (5 or so).

At the same time, they seldom clean up or empty bins at McDonalds and most people leave their waste on the table, whereas I put mine the bin, almost unique.

Of course most of their restuarants are in low income areas, but tidy Kiwi education is taught to everyone and recycling is a mantra here. But you never see signs in a Maccas, saying "Put your rubbish in the bins provided".

I never buy their coffee, its awful, only if I need an eye opener as its so potent.

You can save money without buying their drinks, I never touch their heart attack in a cup shakes, and the soft drinks are like 60% ice now, even in the middle of winter. If I do I take them home and put real soft drink in the cups.

Yes I do eat that ghetto ass food sometimes

They recently took down one of the McDonald's from my city. I looked at it once without even crying. I don't know why I thought that junk was tasty.
