The Walking Dead Season 3 Ep. 3 "Walk With Me"

Did anyone watch it?

It was tamer this week, but the new characters and town are really creepy.

Thoughts?

First, if the Gov has Meryl in line, the Gov is a bad, bad man.

Second, Andrea is a skank.

Third, the Gov's right hand man is creepy and the tea he brews is creepy.

Fourth, Michonne is AWESOME!!

I loved this last episode. There was an episode in Season 2 (I think it was the midseason finale) where we saw a helicopter flying, so I'm glad they picked up on that storyline.

The Governor's city reminds me of the village in The Prisoner. At least slightly, and I enjoyed the visual of it and the juxtaposition of it and the horror both outside its walls and in the form of The Governor.

All in all, it was an episode that got me enthused about the series again.

Nothinbutjoy, why do you think Andrea's a skank? I thought she was awesome in this episode. Not as awesome as Michonne, but still awesome.

She was totally making "bedroom eyes" at the Gov and she doesn't even know him.

Well, he's not bad looking. And a girl has needs. And lord knows there aren't that many options after a zombie apocalypse. biggrin

He is not bad looking, but dude relaxes in a room full of human heads in fishtanks. Zombie Apocalypse or not, that's a deal breaker.

I thought it was something in that tea because they were emphasizing it too much. lol

I don't think Andrea's a skank, but more naive than ever. I damn sure wouldn't trust Meryl and the way she was volunteering information made me worry.

I was with Michonne, don't volunteer no information and there won't be no trouble. No one is to be trusted.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That's true. Shane was a piece of ass, and she got him (But so did Lori, and she's a swamp witch.)

And here I was thinking the Governor was going to sit down, take a walk down memory lane, and watch old videos of his family. neutral A screwy control freak. Not that the rest of it isn't bizarre enough but I think it's odd he found something special enough to preserve about Michonne's walkers' heads, but then he has that military guy's too so, I guess it isn't all that strange.

When he and Rick meet that should be really interesting.

I didn't expect Season 3 to be worse than its predecessor - which aren't great - but it is. The first two episodes were not only filler, but trash!

3rd epiosde was an imporvement... but its so derivative. Not sure if I'll keep watching.

Other shows like Dexter and The Office are in similar positions for me.

i still dont know what to make of this show.

i did all of season 1 at once when i t came out on bluray. i could barely keep track of who is whom and what their connections are.

i tried to do week-to-week with season 2 and quickly gave up and waited for the bluray again.

i was starting to get into the prison thing and the kick-ass sister with the zombie pack mules, then suddenly they have a whole new town and i dont see any of the prison people.

and now i gotta wait another week?

pout

this show really works better for me as back-to-back bluray viewing

I agree. I watched the first two seasons back to back, and still lost interest at points

Or, as the episode was originally called,

"A Walker Carol -- The Ghost of Future Rick."

Yeah it's kind of predictable that eventually the season is going to end with Rick vs. The Governor and folks having to choose sides.

Choosing sides? Kind of has that Last Stand feel, I thought that as I was watching it but couldn't see how that would work. Maybe so though.
