'Planet Hulk' & 'World War Hulk' are great reads.

One of the best Hulk stories is issue 312. It goes into Banner's personal history and the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father(who killed Banner's mother). Ang Lee's Hulk dealt with these themes.

I've ALWAYS loved, loved, LOVED Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends!! Sure, it's kinda corny looking back on it now, but it was what I looked forward to every Saturday. That, Dungeons & Dragons, and The Incredible Hulk (1982) cartoon. As long as those came on, I was a happy child. lol

My preference is Cosmic Marvel. Being off world allows for more freedom I find.

I dig Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider, and Venom (now that he's Flash Thompson) muchos at the moment.

I've even really warmed up to Valeria and Franklin Richards, which is something I thought I would never do as I really hated the trope of an all-powerful Franklin, and have been enjoying that last couple of years of the Fantastic Four.

Incredible Hercules was just great. That with the Planet Hulk/World War Hulk era was awesome.

Uncanny X-Force has been pretty solid, as has Wolverine and the X-Men. I am a huge fan of X-Factor too. Multiple Man can lead a title! Who knew!?

Daredevil has been on point. And I'm very suprised at how I've been getting into Red Hulk and current Banner/Hulk arcs.

Cable/Deadpool was a magical time that was completely run into the ground! Deadpool is still great, though.

As I mentioned, I loved the Giffen Annihilation as well as DnA's Annihilation Conquest considering my favorite characters are:

My kids have little interest in comic books disbelief but they love this show and they play the Marvel videogame, so they "know" the various characters at least.

So, what does everyone think about the latest developments between Storm and Black Panther??

For those that may not know what I'm referring to, BP annulled their marriage due to the whole AvX fight and following Namor's rampage on Wakanda.

Not say they couldn't get re-married once this whole latest Phoenix saga is over, but damn. Guess I saw it coming because their relationship has had cracks in it for a little while now.

I was a big fan of Luke Cage, Hero for Hire. Growing up in the South Bronx during the early 70s, it was so cool having a black heroes like Cage & the Falcon based in Harlem. Marvel was always ahead of the game.

If they weren't going to keep them together, they never should have paired them up.

It was ill-conceived to begin with. Just because they are both from Africa (actually, Storm is a Harlem-born American with Kenyan heritage who moved to Egypt) doesn't mean that they needed to be together. I prefer Storm and Wolverine as a pair, to be honest. That said, I understand that Storm is a Princess of Kenya, but they never really explored the socio-political aspects of this relationship apart from "people in Wakanda don't like outsiders, but they'll fall in love with their new Queen." A story that's been told time and time again in crappy chick flicks for many moons.

I was just wondering when they would break them up. First rule of the X-Men is only cyclops is allowed to have long standing relationships with storyline potential. Second rule is see rule one! Seriously no X-Man or X-woman has hd a long standing fully functional relationship which played out in storylines. they might get an issue or two devoted to them but then they get relegated to back story. Storm and Black Panther were a contender to knock that theory out but she's an X-Man first and foremost. They spent more timae apart than together. The trail of broken X-relationships is long and littered. Dazzler & Longshot, Wolfsbane & Elixir, Dani Moonstar & Cannonball, Rogue & Gambit, Kitty Pryde & Colossus yet Cyclops loses a wife and gets a girlfriend in the span of 3 issues!

Does anyone here "download" wink their comics? If so, does anyone have an invite to ComicBT.com that they'd be willing to part with? I hear it's THE premiere place for comic torrents, and I've always been a day late and a dollar short when it comes to open registration periods.

Just thought I'd ask... cool

I really wish Marvel would hire some decent editors who would do some actual editing and stand up to the "superstar" writers that are butt-budies with Quesada, Brevoort & Alonso.

AvX is a disaster. Only part of the problem is having each writer do an issue at a time. The editors can't even edit one writer from issue to issue. How on earth did they think they could pull shit nonsense off?

Havok and Polaris are still together.

I don't think that's going to be lasting much longer. He's slated to be an Avenger and she's Magneto's daughter and they've got enough of his offspring wandering around the mansion. So either she's going to get reduced storyline or written off like they do every few years. They've also said the X-Factor roster was going to get reduced some in this current story arc.

My point is they have been together since the 70s. I'm not saying your comment about mutant relationships is 100% wrong, just that there is an exception.

She started out dating Iceman then while her and Havok have been together they spent most of that time away from the X-Men and out of the story entirely and when they were in lead storylines they were either on opposite sides(She was possessed by Malice while Havok was an X-Man) or in different dimensions separated from each other. Havok also dumped her for a human nurse right after coming back from the dead. They are probably the only thing close to what Cyclops has been allowed to have in X-Men history.

You don't have to tell me, I've read all that stuff. And Scott dated Collen Wing, Lee Forrester and married and had a child with Madelyne Pryor while he thought Jean was dead. The Summers brothers have not had easy love lives.

I always thought that their line-up was probably one of the strongest power wise in Marvel. they had strength, firepower, fliers, a teleporter and psionics all on one team. With serious training they could have been major!

yea, its always been one of my faves. i have been collecting the trade paperbacks and have most of the original run.

their powers would make a GREAT movie in terms of special effects, and they are also well written characters with distinct personalities and intrigue
