Can you make the picture bigger? I'm having a hard time seeing it. Thanks.

My love/hate relationship with TV began waaaaaay back when they cancelled 'Caroline In The City' for no apparent reason other than they wanted a BIGGER hit (it was doing fine in the ratings).

...and I'm not going to bring up the whole "Friends-was-a-ripoff-of-Livin'Single" topic.

Yes.

3 spring to mind though there are many many others.

They did try to tie up some of the loose ends with this one but still there's a mystery

They always seem to cancel shows that I'm into; Human Target, Drive, Duck Man (yeah, I'm going way back) and The Knights of Prosperity (featuring Sofia Vergara before she was Sofia Vergara) come to mind.

Some of you need to think about the horrible (planned) endings some shows have been given. For example, Seinfeld - which was a great show throughout its run, had a horrible ending.

And I would argue that the real final episode of Northern Exposure was the last one with Rob Morrow as Joel Fleischman - even though the show continued for a couple (very mediocre) seasons after that. (I'll admit, though - I bawled like a baby at the final ending of the show - can still hear that Iris DeMent tune in my head.)

If though they made an ending episode to "Good Times", I got pissed when I found out it was the last episode. They had tried so long to get out of the ghetto and now that they finally were getting out, I wanted to see their new condo and how they were living.

I don't get "pissed off" over television.

However, two shows I liked that ended disappointingly on cliffhangers due to early cancellation were Blade (starring Sticky Fingaz) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

after they cut "carnivale" short (which was the first show after the xfiles that i was totally

into and completely psyched about), I haven't been able to follow a show from the start

anymore.

i always waited until there were at least 3 seasons and then just got it on dvd. lol

first show i've started watching from the get go again was "Game Of Thrones".

i hate when you put the effort into a new show and it gets cancelled. my brother tells me

about stuff he watched and it always sounds interesting but gets shot down after one or

two seasons.

perhaps they shouldn't make like 75 shows about the same theme and just concentrate

on writing and producing a dozen spectacular shows that will be classics.

I don't give a damn about TV series anyway

they quickly become a parody of themselves, and it's all 'bout the $

one season or mini-series, that's all

Brimstone is not on dvd (doubt if it ever will) it was playing on Chiller. Like many other TV shows, many of the episodes of Brimstone were aired out of order. Firefly was aired out of order but when it was put on dvd Josh Whedon put the episodes in the correct order in which they were to be aired. Earth 2 was aired out of order and they never corrected it when it went to dvd. The Series cliffhanger was aired second to the last episode aired.

YES!!!! I think the TV executives or whoever should at least give the writers time to write and film a final episode

I agree with Genesia that Seinfeld had a horrible ending. But, I think the intent was the we ran out of ideas so will repeat ourselves, thus the ending we got. shrug

While Frasier and Will and Grace have two of the better conclusions to a series end. (Friends too).

I was happy with Star Trek Voyager's ending. Could you imagine if they didn't make it home? There would be riots at book stores and community centers every where.

Those who like "CSI Miami" got no proper ending. They just cancelled it this last season.

David Spade's "Just shoot me." Same problem, got cancelled without a proper goodbye.

Yes, it's not cool to give the audience closer.

LOST, the final series was so good, then the last episode, well last 20 or so minutes were utter ridiculous, and they didn't explain everything like they said they would. It was like they got Disney to write them a happy ending because they did't know what to do!
Also The Dollhouse, that totally jumped the shark from what it started out as, also not really happy with the. Buffy and Angrl final episodes either!!

I do wish people would realise that shows aren't always going to start off with a bang. Sinfield wasn't a huge show until after a couple of seasons. And that's just one example.
