I haven't seen these two but I've heard they are disturbing!
I think this is the most disturbing I"ve seen (and the ending is horrifying):

My vote goes to, American History X, with Ed Norton. That's sidewalk scene, did me in... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I saw "Eden Lake" a few months ago and it's a really good thriller. The "WTF?" ending of the film did mess with my head.
I saw "American History X" in theater after it came out. That sidewalk scene enraged a lot of people in the theater. They were yelling and shouting at the screen. Besides that, it was a good movie.

I saw American History X, when it first came out and I have not watched it since. That scene is still stuck in my head... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Secret Cermony: There are several versions of this film floating around. It leaves you shacking your head... many layers for which the characters aren't who they appear to be. One particular character is down right amoral.

The Mr Hands documentary had parts from actual 'encounters' between him and horses in it...I could've gladly gone my whole life without seeing that.
I remember the prison rape scene in American History X traumatized the shit out of me for almost a week afterward.
"Human Centipede" (the FIRST one) is really not for the faint of heart.
There's another movie I've seen, I can't even think of the name of it, but it's horror - about some killer and they show an extended scene of him just hacking a woman to death. She starts out totally alive and then by the end her head is just pulp and there's blood and gore all over the room and they show you the entire thing. It's all CGI effects shit but it's...that movie was hardcore.
I think the name of it is "Seed"?

I've heard of many films on this list.
My issue is that I can't watch 'torture' scenes or scenes in which a person is made to do something fatal that they a repulsed by, etc. against their own will.
I also think a lot of these 'art' films are really gore pornos for an increasingly desensitized audience. We've gotten to the point where we're the Romans and our media is the coliseum. I think a lot of these films could have easily made their artistic points without so much gore or violence, and done so with more class. But, that's not to point of many of these films, nor the intention of the audience buying/renting them. We want to be 'shocked'.
So, I guess the list that I have is a wimpy one in comparisson
My list:
1. Saving Private Ryan--the D day scene was hard to watch , as was the death of the Jewish soldier up in the hotel room while the wimpy interpretor downstairs did nothing.
2. Pulp Fiction. Many of the scenes in it. But, mostly my shock came from how the audience laughed at the scenes of violence. I was floored by that.
3. The Wicker Man---the movie isn't any good (neither the original nor the remake). And, it's not scary at all. What did my head in is the fact that I find it horrifying for a person to have to be subjected to other people's religious practices or cultural beleifs when they are of harm to the person. Female genital mutilation, widdow burnings, etc. just to name a few. Although poorly acted and hoakie, the climax of the movie where the male character is placed inside a giant wicker man and set on fire (a method of death that horryfies me), the concept turned my stomach, if not so much the execution of the scene.
4. Graffiti Bridge--no, I'm not joking. I'm serious. It was my 'eureka' moment when I realized that Prince's view of women is comical, oversymplistic, and tragic. Here, he gives us an 'angel' who doesn't have the scruples or self-respect/insight to tell the supposed good guy "the kid" from the bad guys "Morris and Jerome". She speaks of heaven, and yet gets drunk with them in their limo. It's not that I find these things morally terrible. It's that Prince paints them as morally lacking, and that somehow he isn't in light of this. He repeats this "darlin nikki, lolita, 'do it like she like it'" female persona throughout much of his career.
God, the list goes on, but I've embarassed myself enough.

That's the second time it was posted on this thread.
What's so disturbing about it? I heard it's poorly directed and acted, and of course based on Chrstian myth.

God wreaks havoc on the Earth by snatching millions of people up off of the planet and then proceeds to fuck over everyone else for no other reason than not believing in Him. It is also full of dogma and judgemental bullshit. Overall, it was produced and acted awfully. This shit still gives me nightmares.
