Is there a quick way to getting Benadryl out of your system?

or do you just let it run its' course?

Took one pill last night. still sleepy from it-took it due to allergies

You probably could use some more hydration. Your body needs to flush out the chemical either through urination or sweating. Have you eaten? Sometimes benadryl, or any drug, takes longer for the body to absorb if there is no food/nutrients. Hope you feel better. Just rest and drink plenty of fluids.

Benadryl only lasts for 4 hours... its side effects (like grogginess) is more like a hangover effect from the drug.

After 4 hours... benedryl wears off.

Also consider if allergins are attacking your body... the congestion and swelling will remain and cause possible aches and pains since your body is on "attack mode".

Your allergies are also making you operate in slower motion. If you are not used to taking Benadryl, it might take a couple hours extra. No fear it goes away.
