Who likes Netflix?

I only have the streaming service, but I definitely get my money's worth each month.

I love Netflix for the access it give me to foreign films.

The picture quality doesn't impress but for the price, I'll live with it.

My collection of foreign films is growing as a result.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I like it, but I cancelled my account. The UK database/selection just isn't wide enough right now especially compared to what's available in the US.

When they improve the service here I'll likely rejoin.

I don't do streaming and prefer renting blu-ray discs so I registered with Blockbuster by mail this year. There is still a Blockbuster store a few miles away so I can always exchange my discs there if I'm really impatient.

I downgraded to streaming, and there is not nearly a good enough selection if you are interested in searching for anything new or anything specific.

For example, I searched for Humphry Bogart and found The Barefoot Contessa, The African Queen, Dead End, and Beat the Devil. Four movies. I'm pretty sure he was in Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon, too.

I searched for Jason Bateman and found Arrested Development--ok now we're talking! But for movies I found Love Stinks (1999), Necessary Roughness (1991), Moving Target (1988), Sol Goode (2001). Enough said.

But if I don't search for anything specific and just watch what they suggest, it is more than enough for $7 a month. Cheaper than cable.

I tolerated their spliting the DVD rentals & streaming. It's still cheaper than the price of

2 movie tickets. It's okay, for now.

I do, but I only get one video at a time with my mailing subscription. The thing I HATE about it, however, is sometimes getting a video you can't watch because it is scratched and skips!

That sucks when that happens!!!! mad confused sad

I would love it if they had a better selection.

They have a lot of movies I already own, which are the best they offer for me.

Having rated every movie I've come across that I've seen, I've been surprised by some of their spot on recommendations.

Rather than recent theatrical releases I focus on foreign films. The foreign film I choose all seem to be great choices for me (natch!), much more pleasing than the B- grade Hollywood fare on offer.

They have some good movies but again, I own lots of good movies.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I was just having this discussion when someone suggested I just use Red Box.
I don't know if they have many foreign films but they didn't from what I remember last time I used it (long ago). That and a lot of indie documentaries I've enjoyed through Netflix.

I don't steam much so I cancelled that part and just do the dvd (3 at a time).
