when i have an awful cold, i will cut garlic cloves into sliecs and sautee them with butter. or, wrap the entire glove in aluminum foil and bake them in butter in the oven. this seems to reduce the odor, and tastes good too!

My momma put me onto chewing garlic clove dipped in manuka honey for a double dose of health goodness.

Manuka honey is renowned for its health benefits, but it's prob hard to get outside of New Zealand.

I swear by manuka honey. I use it anytime my boys have coughs or colds but make sure I get the factor 20+ or even better factor 25+. It turned around a really bad cold of my wee one in a matter of days. It's delicious, like thick toffee honey.
