Simply saying that Windows Update "screwed up" your laptop makes it kind of hard to know what to suggest. So, assuming you've already received no help from your chat with the professionals, I would suggest just wiping your drive clean, reinstalling your operating system, and starting from scratch. That's the one almost certain way to resolve whatever problem you may be experiencing. I've had to resort to that solution on several occasions over time.

You could wipe it clean but you should check to see if the HDD is still viable. When you start having issues with HDD, (there shelf-life is about 5 years... give or take) even at some point restore and/or wiping it clean is a temporary solution. When you boot up yourcomputer next time press F10/F9 to get in your computer BIO's and run a hard disk self-test.

Sometimes you need to reinstall windows after a while for it to run properly/smooth again

i think that maybe the case here

And for those who keep suggesting MAC

FUCK Mac

overpriced crap , it's only the brand name that makes it so costly , not its fantastic specs

Besides that , they have been using intel processors for the past 6 years

so saying they're better is completely retarded

Having said that though , i'd like to have one ,to use besides my windows OS running pc falloff
