The Big Bang Theory

I cannot get enough of this show! I am so late to the party (it must have premiered while I was doing a play, because I only found it pretty recently in syndication), but I loooooove it. The dialog is just insane.

Who's with me?

Oh, I don't know. I think Amy's pretty hilarious. Sheldon needs a dispassionate foil. Bernadette grates on me a bit, though.

Does Raj have a girlfriend?

I tried watching the show on reruns (it usually runs twice, between Family Guy and The Simpsons) and for some reason I couldn't get myself to enjoy it. The guy who plays Sheldon is cute though (offstage).

i don't like blossom and bernadette is way worse. raj hasn't had a proper girlfriend but had a few chicks in the show, like siri from iphone 4s, and summer glau. in reality he had more chance of pulling a bird than howard and sheldon

in real life leonard really went out with penny for a bit. i don't know if you saw him in the last season of entourage where galecki plays himself which is the opposite of leonard. he's also in the timberlake movie in time

I absolutely LOVE that show!

I think it's brilliant!

Amy is very funny. I love her lines that hint toward her girl-crush on Penny. lol

I love when Bernadette imitates Howard's mother. falloff

I've been trying to catch all the episodes. I watch new one on Thursdays, then try to catch the whenever it's on TBS and one of my local stations.

It's all TBBT, all the time at my house. lol

My mom loves this show (that's usually a clear sign that I will hate a show, which is why I slept on this one). Turns out I love it, too. It cracks me up something silly. Mayim Bialik is amazing on it as well. She totally kills me.

I'm also finding "Sheldonisms" creeping into my everyday parlance (as he would say). Today, I said this - at work. doh!

My mom was the opposite. She complained for the entire half hour when I insisted on watching it in the triage room at the hospital when we were there with Granny.

My sister started watching it, so now my mom will call and say, "Are you watching that "Bang" show?" lol

One thing that I love:

When they call Sheldon insane/crazy, and he says, "I am not. My mother had me tested!"

...or his mom: "He is not. I had him tested."

My mom, bless her, let me read comic books (even though she hated them) and didn't throw my collection away (as many other mothers would have). I think she loves the show partially because of the comic book stuff in it. She doesn't understand what they're talking about, but she finds it funny nonetheless.

I'm always impressed by how right they get the comic book stuff. I'm not smart enough to verify the veracity of the science stuff, but the superhero stuff is pretty spot-on. (I love that they are DC geeks and not Marvel geeks, too.)

I think Mayim Bailik also serves as the science consult on the show; she has a Ph.D. in neuroscience. geek

Did you check out their panel discussion at Comic-Con? I watched it online. Parts 3-5 were hilarious! lol

I honestly thought it was the right time to introduce more females to the cast, it stops Penny from being so isolated and gives more storylines to explore. The 4 male one female cast was fine for the first couple of years but they were starting to repeat themselves.

Been watching since Season 1. One of my favorite shows! I even have a shirt with "Bazinga!" written on it, although I think I left it at my ex-wife's place lol.

I think I'm in love with Kaley Cuoco.... lol

I saw this on Google+ yesterday and it made me laugh.

As far as I know Galecki hasn't said he's gay (or bi). But he did say once that he had no problem with people thinking he was because he wasn't offended by it. I knew he looked familiar! I didn't know why I didn't link him to the same dude who was on "Roseanne". I was so slow. lol

Mine is The Adhesive Duck Deficiency - in which the guys go camping and get stoned on magic cookies, and Penny dislocates her shoulder and Sheldon has to drive her to the ER. The whole exchange about her having the Chinese character for soup tattooed on her ass killed me.lol

I love the one where they are firing lasers at the moon from the roof of the apartment building and Penny's boyfriend thinks they are trying to blow it up lol

And all the episodes with Leonard's mother are amazing... especially the one where she gets drunk with Penny!

I love this show! I was a little late to the party too... but now trying to catch up on some of the earlier seasons in syndication... just think it is hysterical... especially if you know people who are similarly too book-smart for their own good.

I do agree that it has gone a bit downhill lately, just because of having separate boys and girls storylines, which I don't think is working so well... I missed tonight's episode, but think there is some promise in the storyline of Leonard & Penny getting back together.

i'm all for more girls on the show, but it's about geeks who don't understand girls, and they all suddenly have girlfriends. it's not in keeping with the theme. they could have had a hot girl at college that one of them continously tried to ask out. having another hot girl for leonard was a step too far too (raj's sister). you would have thought penny would have some of her own hot friends or collegues to introduce
