Hey I said I might send flowers, I think that's pretty sweet of me.

Naw, it's cool. We basically just text each other day telling each other how much we hate each other, etc. It's kinda fun now, I look forward to sending him messages acting like I'm not attracted to him and I like getting texts from him telling me how much he can't stand me, blablabla....So, yeah now we just tell each other how much we can't stand each other everyday. It's wonderful!

I guess one has got to do whatever they've got to do to hang on to their man. I'm sure your co-workers are just thrilled with vibe you two are sending out.

Hang on to their man? Who said this guy was my man? Most of the beef remains between us but occasionally comes up in other meetings, etc.

Most people close to him agree that he has the mentality of a teenager, so I guess this explains his teasing of me....oh well smile

i do not think love and hate are contradictory things. They may be counter productive to each other but I am not sure that they can not co-exist.

I do however thing what is meant by that is something else. I think there is an equivocation in how the word "YOU" is being used.

As I am sure someone has said: often people do not want to love someone because of reasons other than being in love. In the case of an abusive or unrequited love.

or they just do not want to commit.

I dunno, I can't stand this dude but damn I want him. It's weird. We hate each other but we don't leave each other alone.

I sent him a Valentine's Day ecard telling him how much I hate him. I dunno, won't lie if he wanted to shag me right now I wouldn't think twice about it....

Yes, hanging on to your man, it's your decision to make. And as I said before it all boils down to what you think of yourself, this is on your job, it's affecting all the people around you and how they see and respect you. From the response you're getting on this thread pretty much tells you what your co-workers really think of the whole situation. If some casual fling is more important to you then be willing to deal the consequences.

Puer aeternus is Latin for eternal boy, used in mythology to designate a child-god who is forever young; psychologically it refers to an older man whose emotional life has remained at an adolescent level. The puer typically leads a provisional life, due to the fear of being caught in a situation from which it might not be possible to escape. He covets independence and freedom, chafes at boundaries and limits, and tends to find any restriction intolerable. "For the time being one is doing this or that, but whether it is a woman or a job, it is not yet what is really wanted, and there is always the fantasy that sometime in the future the real thing will come about.... The one thing dreaded throughout by such a type of man is to be bound to anything whatever."
There is also a female type.

Seventeen wants what she wants! She only hears what she wants to listen to.(Tell me I'm lying chica. lol )

I think she comes here for validation of what she wants to do instead of seeking honest advice of what she should do. She seems stubborn... "hard head makes a soft ass", my momma always said.

I hope she doesn't "fall in love" back with this Nuyorican who she gets off going back and forth with.... but we all know how these things play out.

I am now looking for a Valentine's/sex thread because she knows the formula for an entertaining thread. popcorn Get started Seventeen... I need to know what this nucca did for you. I know he's driving you crazy.

I'm beginning to think that OWD was just reflecting back some convos the co-workers have been having about her and why she seems so desparate for any kind of attention. Previously I didn't realize all this was taking place with folks on her job, I thought this was all coming from some online group.

Well, Mr. Nuyorican and I got into it over the weekend and it got pretty bad. Then out of nowhere a buddy of his starts emailing me and wants to go out with me. I refused. The thing is I didn't trust Papi Chulo's friend at all...why go on a date with the friend of your enemy? Anyway, to make a long story short, Papi's friend was dishing out all kinds of personal info about the Nuyorican dude in order to make me think he wasn't a great catch, blablabla....

So, what did I do?

I let the dude run his mouth, text me all the dirt about his friend the Nuyorican and then when I finally got fed up with the Friend bugging me and not taking no for an answer, I told the Nuyorican dude all the horrible things his so-called friend was saying about him behind his back (including comments about sexual performance that the Nuyorican's former GF made to the dude's friend).....I also told the friend, "Besides, if you and he were the last man on earth, I'm sure 90 percent of women would be for Team Nuyorican because he's really good looking and you wouldn't be my friend much longer if I knew you were spilling my secrets to anyone with an ear"

The Kardashians hmm ? I do not support them with my $$$, but even I can understand objectively why they are loaded. They're loaded because they have a brilliant mastrermind of a manager who negotiates millions of dollars in endorsements and licensing deals, and they own a chain of clothing stores that sell high end merchandise. That translates into them actually having a fan base that likes them and feels invested in supporting their business success. The comparison between the success of their business ventures and the interest in your thread might be, well, kind of a stretch.

Perhaps it's best not to get things twisted on why you have page views here. People come back to your threads because they genuinely would like to see you helped... as you clearly don't know what you're doing confused . As for many who have given up on seeing you helped or just generally coming to an iota good sense; well, you're now essentially entertainment for the board. And trust, no one is laughing with you here, they're laughing at you, Hon...and the most intriguing (or perhaps disturbing?) aspect of it all is that you seem to be just fine with that butterfly

Yeah I sent him a Valentine's Day e-card letting him know how much I can't stand him and at the end of the card, I was like, I love you soooooooo much. Just a few days prior, in one of our text message quarrels, he's like "I've been in love with you from the beginning but was too scared to tell you...." and then he wrote back some other rude stuff and acted like he hated me.

Our co-workers have asked us not to have any more contact with each other. The co-workers were like, why do the both of you tell each other to go away just to contact each other again? Another person asked me in private if there was a sexual relationship, of course the answer is no but I guess people are wondering...

Puerto Rican descendants born of or around New York. Not to be confused with Boriquas. But before I mess it, up let's let paintedlady or one of our other Puerto Rican hotties break it down.

Nuyorican---New York Puerto Rican

Also, to the person who said this is elaborate foreplay, it's gonna be pretty tough to end up in bed with the dude if neither one of us is speaking or texting/calling the other person. I requested mediation at work and he refused and everyone else thought it was a pretty dumb move on his part.

So, who is more pathetic, me for sending him the rude Valentine's Day card or him for sending me that text message a few days before that telling me how he was "insanely in love with me since the beginning but was too afraid to say anything" and then later act like he was just joking about that....

I sure your co-workers would love a mediation to take place cause it sounds like it's escalating and that kind of tension in the workplace makes people very nervous these day for good reason. You are aware that there are people in this world who'll beat the living crap out of someone and claim the deepest love, it all starts somewhere. Some folks jump anyway for the excitement. Happy landings.

Well, the guy has backed off a lot and actually hasn't been there in a few days, thankfully. For now, it's quiet but I know he has people watching me and telling him everything I say/do. Dude seems obsessed with me for some reason.

All kidding aside, this is why (initially) I am concerned for her reputation at her workplace.

It's just a bad idea... especially since your co-workers will have to deal with the break-up right along with you, and they will NOT appreciate that one bit.

All kidding aside, this is why (initially) I am concerned for her reputation at her workplace.

It's just a bad idea... especially since your co-workers will have to deal with the break-up right along with you, and they will NOT appreciate that one bit.

Sounds like a disruptive work environment and she is being identified as an instigator, not a victim. Remember - most people involved in office relationships DENY it when asked.

It's kinda tripping me out that somebody would mess up their job over some juvenile type BS ...and they don' even actually have a relationship as it were to show for it (not that that should remotely even be an incentive when it comes down to self-worth and self-preservavtion), but they're just f**cking up office energy & flow of operation to the point where mediation might need to brought in hmm ?
