Hulk Hogan Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife Linda
By Marc Middleton
Dec 9, 2011 - 7:42:24 AM

- The St. Petersburg Times reports Hulk Hogan has filed a new defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Linda over how she portrayed him in her "Wrestling the Hulk" autobiography.

Hogan's lawsuit says that Linda used claims made against him in the book to help her "sagging career." The suit also mentions Linda's allegations that Hogan and Brutus Beefcake had a homosexual relationship.

Chyna is apparently working as a "Porn Star Escort." The former WWE Intercontinental Champion has a profile up at MyPornStarProvider.com. According to Prowrestling.net, her rates are as follows:

$3,500 for the first hour
$1,500 each additional hour
$10,000 24 hour

I don't see what the point was of the first mask. They could've easily just kept it somewhat dark until he hit the ring if they wanted to keep the suspense on what he was wearing on his face. It was Darth Vaderish and just complete overkill!

And while I'm on Raw, JR completely wet the damn bed with that stupid ass rap. As embarrassing as Cole's was, at least it was intentional AND he remembered the damn shit. According to his Twitter, this is what he was supposed to say:

Jim Ross
Michael Cole ur damn fool. King beat u like Gov Mule. I should call Raw ur not in my class. U kissed kings feet now u can kiss my ass! Whew.

12 Dec

He couldn't remember just that simple little line. disbelief Instead of embarrassing him every damn week, they need to have him permanently behind the microphone to replace Cole. Cole can keep doing Smackdown, for all I care. I barely watch the shit anyway.

Anyway, I fast forwarded through so much of that Raw, it took me not even an hour to watch it. They need to permanently never go back to VA for a Raw show. They sucked back in June when they were there, and they suck on Monday. Mysterio came back, and they barely noticed. Lita was there, and it was light applause. Same for Foley. God forbid they do a PPV there.

CM Punk gave a pretty good interview a couple of days ago on a Baltimore radio station.

It's in two parts, so they go:

Part 1

Part 2

They talked about The Rock (of course, because every interviewer seems to want to ask him about The Rock coming back and headlining Wrestlemania), the anonymous Raw GM, if he's dating, Alberto Del Rio, and other shit. It was interesting to hear him speak about the anonymous GM. Seems he was almost embarrassed to say who they were planning on unveiling it as, but suffice to say, he did not say exactly who it was, in spite of being practically begged by one of the interviewers.

WWE's Zack Ryder sparks an Internet wrestling revolution

Last Christmas, Zack Ryder received a gift that changed his life — a Flip video camera from his parents.

At the time, Ryder (whose real name is Matthew Cardona Jr.) was in danger of losing the only job he ever wanted: being a WWE Superstar. After a promising start to his professional wrestling career in 2007 as a tag team with Curt Hawkins alongside then World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Ryder had become a jobber, wrestling’s version of the Washington Generals, the guy who loses his match every night. Sometimes, Ryder wouldn’t even be on the card.

“Earlier this year, probably January or so, I looked myself in the mirror and said this career is not where I want it to be,” Ryder said in a phone interview from Raleigh, N.C., where WWE Smackdown was being taped Tuesday.

So Ryder took the camera his parents bought him, set it up in his living room at his Long Island home, and started filming the first episode of “Z! True Long Island Story,” which he posted on YouTube Feb. 17. More episodes followed. In them, he panned WWE for not using him on television and encouraged fans to buy his T-shirt, follow him on Twitter and to “take care, spike your hair. Woo, woo, woo! You know it,” which became his signature sign-off.

“I had nothing to lose; I was on a path to get released. What were they going to do? Fire me? Not put me on TV? I wasn’t on TV anyway,” Ryder said. “My life was going to change one way or the other.

“I knew I was either going to get fired or get noticed. I got noticed.”

Fans started showing up at the arena bringing signs asking to be his “Broski of the Week” on the YouTube show. His T-shirt was selling out at merchandise stands. And people started chanting his name during matches he wasn’t involved in. It reached a crescendo last month at WWE Survivor Series at Madison Square Garden in New York, when the sell-out crowd cheered “We want

Ryder!” during the opening match.

Then something else happened. Top WWE stars like John Cena and CM Punk started sending out links to his YouTube show on their Twitter accounts. They started bringing his name up during interviews on WWE television.

“People who had no idea who I was were like ‘Oh, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler or John Cena are retweeting this kid’s show, what is it?’ Then they go watch it.”

More than 40 episodes of “Z!” later, and Ryder isn’t just another guy on the roster. He used social media to develop a following and is now one of the most popular stars in the industry. And on Sunday at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, he’ll wrestle Dolph Ziggler for the United States title at the “TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs” pay-per-view event. If he wins, it would be his first singles championship in WWE and a remarkable turnaround for the 26 year old.

“If I won the United States Championship Sunday, it would be a perfect end to a storybook, roller coaster year,” Ryder said. “Starting from nothing and working my way up to being United States Champion, I don’t think it gets better than that.”

The Ryder Revolution, as he calls it, shows the power of social media. In the scripted world of professional wrestling, the promoter or booker wields the power of who gets “pushed” — wrestling slang for who is featured on TV, wins matches and is generally popular with the fans.

Ryder changed the game through his use of social media and now some others are trying to do the same.

“Social media is a great tool for the Superstars if you aren’t on TV every week, if you’re not in a storyline, to interact with the crowd and show the crowd, hey, I have a personality, too, or, hey, this is what I can do, and show a different side of people,” Ryder said. “Before I started this YouTube show, people had no idea who I was. I was just some guy occasionally on TV who lost in like five seconds. That’s all they knew. That and I had spiked hair. That was it. Then I made this YouTube show and they saw a side of me; they saw the personality. They started to relate to me. ‘Hey, this kid, he’s like us. He’s a fan trying to make it.’ It helped get them behind me and they feel like they are part of this whole thing. With Twitter and Facebook, they feel like they are part of the Superstar’s journey and that’s a huge help.”

Coinciding with Ryder’s rise to stardom, WWE as a company began using social media more actively to create awareness of its brand. WWE launched its own YouTube channel with backstage interviews not shown on television. Each wrestler’s Twitter handle is displayed on TV as they make their ring entrance. And announcers talk about which performers are trending during live broadcasts.

Recently, WWE launched a new website called InterAction, which pulls feeds from wrestler’s Twitter accounts, fans who use #wwe and other company approved hashtags, and from WWE-sponsored Facebook pages.

For fans, Ryder said, social media gives them unprecedented access to the wrestlers.

“When I was a kid, I’d write letters to WWE headquarters, hoping I’d get a response. And you never did, you know? They probably never even saw the letters,” he said. “Now, you have a majority of the WWE Superstars checking their tweets, checking their mentions and sometimes they’ll reply or they’ll retweet what someone says. It’s crazy. The fans get to interact with their heroes.”

Ryder relishes having that opportunity. Had things gone differently and Ryder been admonished for his home videos and released as he fretted, he has no idea what he’d be doing.

He’s been telling people he wanted to be a WWE Superstar his entire life.

“Everyone kind of brushed it off and thought I’d grow out of it, but I never did,” he said. “I went to college to make my parents happy so they’d pay for my wrestling school and instead of taking notes, I’d draw out wrestling outfits and logos. I have no idea what I’d be doing. I’d be a completely different person with a complete different life.”

Instead, Ryder is living his dream playing an amplified version of himself every week on TV.

“Ninety-nine percent of that character is me,” he said. “It is me — I’m a big kid living the dream, listening to boy band music, fist pumpin’ in the club, spiking my hair.”

Woo, woo, woo. You know it.

Linda Hogan Checks Into 'Relationship Rehab' with Her 23-Year-Old Manboy

Linda Hogan's 23-year-old fiance just couldn't tame the cougar -- because he and the Hulk's 52-year-old ex-wife will be working out their issues on VH1's "Relationship Rehab" ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to production tell us, Linda and literal boyfriend Charlie Hill have agreed to appear on the upcoming reality show, hoping to fix their crumbling relationship -- and taping is already underway.

Linda and Hulk Hogan got divorced back in 2009 -- and Charlie, who Linda had been dating since 2008, proposed a year later.

As we previously reported, rapper DMX and his estranged wife are also seeking counseling on the show.

THE ANIMAL ROARS!

ABOVE: Dave Batista says the old stars ‘went through war’
“
It’s brutal. I can’t watch it. I can’t connect with it. I no longer know this business. I don’t do PG wrestling
”

Dave “The Animal” Batista

16th December 2011

By Fightin' Talk with Patrick Lennon

FORMER world champion Dave “The Animal” Batista says the new PG brand of WWE wrestling is completely alien to him.

In a world exclusive interview, the ever-candid Washington DC native this week tells FT exactly how he feels about the current state of the product.

And he won’t be going back any time soon. Dave, 42, is currently training MMA every day and living the martial arts lifestyle in Tampa, Florida, as well as preparing for the release of his new film, Scorpion King 3, at the end of February.

He told FT this week: “It’s brutal. I can’t watch it. I can’t connect with it. I no longer know this business. I don’t do PG wrestling.

“Love me or hate me, when I was there everyone took one look at me and knew I could beat someone up. I don’t think they look at Miz that way.”

Looking at our exclusive picture, you can see the man has a point. He went on: “It’s sad. It’s not their fault. These days the guys have their hands tied, they are so limited in what they can do.

“The difference is that guys like Rock, Austin, Triple H, excuse me, but they had to have the living sh*t beat out of them to get where they are. They went through war and the audience knows it and the audience appreciates it.

“The guys today will never get to that level. It’s sad, but that’s the reason for it.”

FT wrote a couple of weeks ago that joyous as Rock’s return was, it laid bare some of the difficulties WWE have in creating stars of his calibre, magnifying the gap between his stellar capacity and what is on offer today.

Batista left the company because of the new direction, and obviously feels nothing has changed.

He, however, has immersed himself in the MMA lifestyle and recently opened his gym to the public.

One of his partners is young Harry Smith, son of the British Bulldog himself, and fresh out of WWE. He has all the potential in the world to make it in the cage.

Dave assures me: “Harry’s wrestling is more advanced. He’s a big, athletic guy and his goal is to be a pro fighter. He’s so young and he’s got a great chance.

“He’s been training with Josh Barnett, and he’s got to get comfortable on his feet. He’s such a nice guy we have to needle him. He has to work on his aggressive side.

“I tell you, this the kid could not be tougher.”

Batista’s own Strikeforce deal fell through when Zuffa stepped in, but he tells me he was impressed with Mr Bisping’s work recently.

“He’s a smart guy. He knows how to sell a fight.”

The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption is released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 27 from Universal Pictures UK.

The WWE’s Cody Rhodes parachutes with a member of the Army’s Golden Knights during ‘WWE Tribute to the Troops.’

In case the nature of the United States military mission in the Middle East over the last decade is unclear, World Wrestling Entertainment star Cody Rhodes has spelled it out.

“What we do,” he said Tuesday afternoon, “is what they fight for.”

So at least we know.

Actually, Rhodes didn’t mean we’re fighting the war to make the world safe for professional wrestling. He was promoting the WWE’s annual “Tribute to the Troops,” an hour-long performance that was taped at Fort Bragg and airs Saturday night at 9 on NBC.

It’s patterned after Bob Hope’s USO shows, with a fast-paced variety format that parades a number of stars in front of the troops while praising what they do.

Rhodes and other WWE stars are part of the show, along with comedian George Wallace, R&B singer Mary J. Blige, Nickelback and others.

Taped greetings from performers like Robin Williams, the Muppets, Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey will be interspersed throughout the show.

Wallace said it’s one of the most moving experiences he’s had.

“I won’t lie to you; I choked up,” he said, when he saw the WWE performers and other stars mingling with troops after the show.

“You try to give your best show every night,” said Wallace, “but for this you want to give your better-than-best show. I have about five hours of material and I tried to do my best seven minutes.”

Rhodes said the troop salute, which WWE has been doing for nine years, is one of the most important things the organization does.

“You work all year to be on Wrestlemania,” he said. “This kind of sneaks up on you. But when you get there, you realize this is even more important, because it’s for the troops. It’s real.”

While Rhodes plays a bad guy in the WWE world, Wallace said he wasn’t greeted like a villain by the troops.

“There were no bad guys on that stage,” he said. “They loved everybody.”

Wallace did take the occasion to joke that he’d love to get in the ring with Rhodes someday.

“I’ll put my foot so far up his behind that his breath will smell like shoe polish,” said Wallace, strutting his best trash-talking stuff.

Rhodes, sounding amused, said he would like to have Wallace become his manager.

“Well, that’s something entirely different,” said Wallace. “Now you’re talking money. What did you have in mind?”

Rhodes said the most unusual part of the salute gig, to him, was joining four other WWE stars to do a parachute jump with the Army’s Golden Knights.

“It’s not something I ever wanted to do,” Rhodes admitted. “I was terrified. But it was an unbelievable rush. I’d like to do it again.”

He’d also do the whole salute again.

“If you weren’t a patriot before this,” he said, “you will be after.”

WWE Superstars, Divas surprise Soldiers at work

December 14, 2011

By Sgt. Jessica M. Kuhn, XV... Corps PAO

It wasn't until a white van pulled into her unit's work area that her day started to get a little strange. Things got even crazier when the van door opened and World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar John Cena stepped out.

"When the door opened and I saw him, I screamed and couldn't help but run and tackle him!" Stewart said, a medic with 44th Medical Brigade.

Stewart wasn't the only one surprised by a Superstar or Diva from the WWE this past weekend at Fort Bragg. More than twenty Superstars and Divas went around the post taking pictures and signing autographs for Soldiers and families leading up to their free "Tribute to the Troops" show Sunday evening at the Crowne Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C.

"We are out here for our annual 'Tribute to the Troops' show," said Wade Barrett, a WWE Superstar. "At the WWE, we like to support the U.S. troops in all our endeavors around the world."

Besides signing autographs and taking pictures, the Superstars and Divas also had a chance to try their hand at some Army training during their visit.

"It was a lot of fun throwing the live hand grenade," Barrett said. "I was amazed of the size of the grenade versus the size of the explosion. I didn't think something that small could create an explosion that big. It was definitely a lot of fun, and an experience I will keep with me a long time."

Of course, no one's trip to Fort Bragg is complete without some good airborne training.

"Jumping out of the tower was a pretty cool experience," Barrett said. "It was great; a nice glide down as well as a real good adrenaline rush, and something I would definitely recommend."

Another important part of the Superstars and Divas visit was the promotion of their "Be a Star" anti-bullying campaign to military children at the Tolson Youth Activity Center.

Alicia Fox, a WWE Diva, shared with the children how she had been bullied when she was younger and how to overcome it.

"When you are being bullied or witness someone being bullied, you don't stand by and watch it or let it happen," she explained. "You stand up and tell an adult so you can help stop the bully!"

Cena also spoke to the children about the anti-bullying campaign ending the discussion with a loud chant from the children.

"Be a Star!" Cena cheered to the children as they roared back, "Not a bully!"

One child in the crowd who really enjoyed the Superstars and Divas visit was Demetrius Mendoza, 6, the son of Spc. Alfred Mendoza, a generator mechanic with 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.

"I want to be a WWE wrestler when I grow up just like John Cena and Zack Ryder," Mendoza said, still ecstatic from getting to meet Cena and the other wrestlers.

All around Fort Bragg, the WWE Superstars and Divas were making Soldiers' and family members' day with their unannounced visits.

"It really boosted morale having them come by," said Stewart, who also attended the free 'Tribute to the Troops' show. "It's still just so surreal that I got to meet John Cena. This was the best Christmas present and post-deployment present I could have asked for."

As for the Superstars and Divas from WWE, they considered the visit a privilege and were honored to give back to the Soldiers who fight for their freedom.

"I just really want to say thank you from me and obviously everyone else at WWE," Barrett said. "Thank you for what you do. We have a lot of respect for the job you guys do, and we really appreciate you guys keeping us all safe."

They deserve it. WWE Creative had Daniel Bryan down the John Morrison road for months, even after winning Money In The Bank. Hopefully they don't screw this up......

"We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
