Can't Receive Incoming Calls On My Cell Phone

Guys,

I have a LG Android phone from Virgin Mobile pre-paid service. Had it for about 3 months. For the past couple of days, I've been having issues receiving incoming calls. Half the time, when someone calls me, my phone does not tell me I'm receiving an incoming call. I don't find out until I get a voicemail. I tried calling my cell phone using my home phone. It rings 3 or 4 times and goes into voicemail but again, it does not register as an incoming call on my cell phone. I will try again 5 or 10 minutes later and the incoming calls shows on my cell phone. So it seems to be very random. Anyone else ever experienced this problem? Is it the phone? Is it the carrier? I really can't afford to go with another carrier because the others are too expensive. Any advice?

go online and key in LG Android phone from Virgin Mobile - help or support - might be an answer there.

or

try:

removing the sim card and then reinsert it

check the volume. if it is on vol 10 (highest) this could (sometimes) cause a frequency problem

turning it off - then find a land line phone and dial the cell number -either it will ring your you will get a status recording

if all else fails call your provider

eek hope this helps

My advice is to just keep reading the replies on this thread.
Eventually, with any luck, one of the suggestions is bound to work.

I talked to Customer Service yesterday. They had me reboot the phone and punch in some digits. All of it to no avail. They then told me they would expedite my problem to technical support and they would work on it from their end. Tech Support called me back this morning on my home phone and asked me was my cell phone working now? I told them, no, I'm still only able to make and receive calls only about 25% of the time. They told me they would have another department call me back. Should I just ask for a new phone? Do you think the phone is faulty? I've only had it for 90 days. Everything else seems to work on it and like I said, about 25% of the time, I'm able to make and receive calls. Sorry. This is my first Android phone so I don't know a lot about them. Not very savvy when it comes to these fancy phones.
