What Do You Miss About Being A Kid?

I had a "kid flashback" earlier today.

I miss those late Friday and Saturday afternoons of the Fall season. Watching "That's So Raven",

"All That", "Kenan & Kal", "Cousin Skeeter" and MadTV while my grandma cooked me a hamburger

and french fries.

I also miss those days of not knowing any better and just doing off the wall things like:

1. Making 4 sandwhiches, and stacking them on top of each other.

2. Jumping off my grandpop shed.

3. Mixing different drinks with each other.

4. Doing splits in Wal-Mart and various stores...wait,I still do that.

I miss when girls weren't that important to me, but now, it's a different story.

What do you miss?

My best kid years, 99-04.

I had a great dog, he was me best companianship. Truly loved him.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I didn't have to worry about bills, I always had money to spend. Even in high school, the only thing I had to pay for was gas in my car, everything else was fair game. I miss that tremendously.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Teacher?

Teachers work through many of the days students get off during the year, take work home with them nearly every night and most work through the summer, either more teaching, creating lessons plans, etc. or taking in other work for extra money (as they’re not paid well).

On the surface it doesn’t look that way but teachers work as much if not more than other people I know.

Some do, and some don't. It depends. My wife and many of our friends are teachers, God bless 'em. They can structure their pay in ways to get paid during the summer when school is out as my wife does. Plenty of time for cloud9 during the summer if they manage their money right.

woot! I can see you as a teacher, a totally bad ass teacher! whip

I just miss how worry-free being a kid is, in general. Pretty much all you have to do is go to school and play. I remember how when I was a kid I used to sometimes think that being an adult must be so cool and now I'm like, "What the fuck was I thinking?". lol

Oh yeah, and going to a pool or beach without having to worry about what the members of opposite sex will think about my body.

The thread on watersports reminded me of this all of a sudden.

I miss the overall innocence of everything. I miss my large crew of male and female friends and how we would just hang out all day and literally all night. mushy No complications or people getting all horny or pissed or fit . Just innocent fun and good times.

I mostly miss being able to hang out with friends, when we all lived within blocks to a couple of miles of each other and spending the day riding buses to get to our destinations. It was an adventure to hang out with friends. Also, it was much easier getting together spontaneously back then. Today you have to plan months in advance, and around family life.

I miss eating junk food and not having to consider the consequences. Serious ditto on the bills, tv shows, and music.

I miss my dad and when he took me to the bowling alley with him on Saturdays and he would give me quarters to play video games while he bowled in tournaments. I thought money grew on trees back then even though I had to beg sometimes. I miss my grandparents and going to their house and spending a few days to a week with them and sometimes with my younger cousin until she got on my nerves. lol

And might I add being able to live life without so many fancy technical gadgets and not having to do everything online.
