Masturbation Healthy?

Ok, so i ask this because it seem's people online can't make up there mind's lol biggrin

So i am 20 & i read that around that age it's very healthy to masturbate and have an orgasm, as long as it's not excessive of course.

Then dozens of sights call people stupid and say do it less cause it causes

-Fatigue

-Lower back pain

-Thinning hair

-Weak erection

- sleep problems

-testecular pain

-memory problems

hmm... idk i personally have never really had these problems after masturbating so i'm curious if anyone on here has?

It seem's i can never get a straight answer you would think masturbation would not have so many politics behind it lol

like you said, only if it's excessive, and even then I doubt it causes thinning hair! lol

Personally I don't believe it's actually healthy to do it (like yoga), only that healthy people have sexual needs and it's normal to do it

Like anything else, moderation is needed. Safe sex. Especially for boys(teens).

I don't think it's unhealthy, I just don't think it has any great physical benefits

psychologically, well that is another more complicated story

Of course it has physical benefits, that is why we do it, to relieve sexual tension, helps stress, headaches, period pains, hangovers and for the obvious physical reasons..

I think we should try to perceive ourselves with more wholeness, somehow.

By the way, I agree with REDFEATHERS. I think getting to know yourself in that way is essential in order to fully accept, love and understand yourself and, therefore, others.

It's been shown to relief pressure on the prostate glad and to some degree, reduce the risk of prostate cancer. Studies have also shown that it reduces blood pressure and combat premature ejaculation.

I dont suffer from fatigue. I sleep abt 5 hrs a day and donn't usually take naps.

I don't have lower back pain. I did throw out my back once, but i was moving a tv. Never had a problem since.

My hairline hasn't moved a milimeter and barbers bitch that I have too much hair.

Mr. Happy is a stiff as he's ever been.

I sleep fairly regular, not a lot...but regular.

No testicular pain.

What was the last thing? No problems with memory either.

I've masturbated on average, 5 times a week, since I learned how.

I think I masturbate excessively and experience NONE of the problems. I might be less inclined to aggressivly persue a woman. But I get laid when I need to, and regularly when I have a chick/girlfriend comin' 'round.

It is if you don't do it all day. Hell I do it if I REALLY feel horny. Other times my dick keeps acting all slap-happy. I don't know if constant masturbation leads to sneezing and drowsiness but I sometimes thinks it goes hand in hand, then again maybe it's just a coincidence. lol Masturbation does NOT cause blindness. I don't know who the fuck came up with that. And if you lose hair, that's not from masturbation, that's nature. lol

Yeah, I think the thing is sometimes we think too much to get a nut off, some of us don't even think about ourselves. I'm trying to learn how to do that though when it comes to "self-love"...

Bullshit

the only problems with masturbation is that it can lead you into an addiction, or even a drop in quality of your sperm...

I think there is a crucial difference of perception of health benefits based on the behavior of the individual.

If someone never did it, I would say they would be healthier to do it.

For men jerking off twice a day, I would not say "good for you! You must be getting so healthy!" lol

Right. That's why I had to stop doing it every other day. Hell every other week would've been a problem. I started masturbating very late in my life and I realized what you mean by addiction and drop in sperm. That's why I'm saving up. Not being a prude or nothing, it's just that I don't wanna get the urge to do it just 'cause my dick is hard. In other cases, don't look at porn for six hours or you'll get a hernia lol

I'll tell you something shocking: I didn't start jerking until I was 22. Not that I was a prude, I just didn't feel the urge to do it. I had wet dreams before then and my dick would just cum by itself. As late as 2005, I was still having wet dreams. Now I hardly have one anymore since I had started masturbating more regularly. Now I kinda miss wet dreams. neutral

yeah that sounds unusual, but I've known guys who claimed they didn't do it either.

I think it's more commmon for women to not do it, and that is when they could really benefit by learning what they like so they can enjoy being with someone else, too. Sexual satisfaction is a lot easier for men, and they generally don't need masturbatory encouragement! lol

Yeah. lol

Like for women, there's more things to get pussy wet but for men, it doesn't even take us a second for our dick to get hard! That's the major difference the sexes have. lol

Well, I feel I was addicted at one point in my teens. I started around the age of 11-12 and I did it so much at one point and kind rough to where I honestly think I damaged some nerves in my clit. neutral

I just masturbated in the bath though and I feel good besides the cold. shrug lol

Yeah told you that it was gonna be shocking. lol I don't know what it was because I know I get hard looking at naked girls on Playboy and don't even mention men back then because I didn't have a computer then and Playboy was the only thing around the house. I did get hard looking at men too (in music videos and such) but porn opened my eyes. After going on XTube that's when I started to do it regularly.

But yeah my dick was weird but I did have sex dreams back then so when I woke up, my drawers were all soggy and my bed sheets were a mess. neutral lol
