Movie/tv scenes that affect your daily life

I should be in bed now, but I'm here and I have "Apollo 13
" on for background noise.

Scene just came on where Lovell's wife is in the shower and her wedding ring slips off her soapy finger and goes down the drain.

Since seeing that scene the first time, until this day, I do not wear my wedding ring, or any other rings in the shower, tub or while washing dishes.

What movie or tv show has affected you that way?

*in general, when i am alone at night i refuse to walk down a dark alleyway wearing stilletto heels, a tight skirt and even tighter sweater. women who do that usually meet up with a crazed, ruthless slasher hiding in the shadows.

*on camping trips i refrain from mentioning the local high school kids who went missing last year from the abandoned summer camp complex just down the road. someone for sure would want to go investigate and then hey presto, here comes the slasher!

*likewise i refrain from checking into houses that are rumored to be haunted. if someone dares me to spend the night there i won't do it. i think we know what will happen to someone who tries to stay overnight in one of those things.
