today would have been noel's 28th birthday.

unfortunately, he was brutally and horrifically murdered about 2 and a half years ago.

his killers will be sentenced in about 2 weeks. as part of a bullshit plea bargain with the prosecution, they will likely get off with 25 years, the minimum for such a cruel and premeditated murder in which they literally beat him to death over the course of 5 hours.

his family and loved ones (myself included) have been circulating a petition to seek life sentences for his cold-blooded killers.

it doesnt matter if you knew noel or not, you can help us see a justice driven christmas and celebration of the all too short life of noel by signing the petition below:

they still have that stocking. his mother let me hold it the day after the funeral, and i wept like you wouldnt believe.

in my play, the character is also named noel and tells the same story.

My dad adopted a boy from birth 22 yrs ago yesterday. He was brought home in a stocking. My dad did not name him Noel though. He was named after my dad, Philip.

I know that Noel is at peace now.

He is an angel looking down on you and proud of you.

as someone who grew up in foster care, PLEASE thank your father for me. that is also a issue very dear to my heart.

at the risk of sounding self-congratulatory, i do think noel has guided my hand on the plays. i dont want to publicly reveal, but there have been numerous little signs in the last week and a half where i keep finding a particular item that is like a sign, and in the last few weeks we have picked up 3 producers who want to help usher the plays into performance.

if i win any awards for these plays, they will be dedicated to noel and given to his family. i would be nothing in my theatrical career if not for noel helping me

I would relay your message to my father but since he got the boy that he always wanted, he hasn't had much to do with his real blood children (girls). I have not heard from him in over two years now.

Personally, I never saw myself having a child of my own, I always wanted to adopt. Not because my father did it but because there are so many children out there that need homes.

Though I am not birthing anymore children of my own, if we decide that our small family of 3 needs to be bigger, we are going to adopt.

This is meant sincerely and with a sad heart that I feel for you and Noel's family today. Brings home that it can be such a sad time for people. I today am thinking of the son I lost knowing that he would have loved Christmas so I know where you are coming from . It doesnt matter how old they are (my son was 18 months old) the loss can be felt more intensively at this time of year as well.
