Of my prized "flower tops!" I left my house yesterday morning and was gone for most of the day. When I returned, my flowers had been stolen! I had four beautiful plants in containers, which I had been tending since May and had planned to harvest today. Of the four plants, the thief absconded with two 6’tall plants in 3 gallon containers; another plant was pulled out of its container, root and all, its container toppled over and broken and the soil spilled out of it; and the last plant was ripped off its stem (it was not very tall, but quite top heavy with gigantic "flower tops," an "exotic" variety.)

I really suspect my bitch of a next-door neighbor. She had a bird's eye view of my garden, but she didn't bother it in past years, so I figured she was cool. Plus, a thief bent on making a hasty retreat would not have wasted time hauling two 6' tall plants in containers off my deck without taking the risk of being seen. They would have just cut and bagged. All she had to do was jump from her deck to mine, grab and jump back to her deck and drag the containers into her house. Our decks are elevated at least 15-20 feet off the ground, so a random thief would have had to scale a fence and the deck. Finally, I had my “flowers” dispersed among my tomato and pepper plants, which were not touched. Needless to say, I am heartbroken and mad as hell. I can't do a damm thing about it. I was cultivating those flowers for my own personal enjoyment, not for sale.

I had a similar situation last spring

we decided to put a couple of large flower pots

on each side of our business door

loaded with lots of great flowers

they didnt last a day

they took one

and busted the other

I know the org is an overly passive place

but If I had caught them

I would have done my best to beat the shit

out of the asshole that did that

yeah, I'd fight over flowers

You know, we think alike. That's the only comfort I have is that "What goes around comes around." I have had so many problems with this bitch. I just hope she fucks up and gets caught with 4lbs and gets her ass busted! Or she decides to drive drunk (she hits the sauce quite frequently) and fucks up her car! Hell, she might have done that already since her car hasn't been parked in her front of her house for about 2 weeks now, but I know that bitch is home. I have gone over this in my mind a hundred times. "If I woulda, coulda, shoulda!" I blame my brother! He asked me to help him seal his deck. That is why I left my house so early in the morning and stayed away most of the day. Had I not promised him, I would have been home the entire weekend and this would not have happened since I planned to harvest today. The flowers were "heavy and glistening" if you know what I mean. Two had purple tops, so you know they were gonna be killer. Another one had flowers so huge, just one would have weighed a lb.

Lawd, I had an ax handle right by my door. If only I had come in just as she was scaling my deck...

I hate a motherfucker that steals worse than I hate a murderer. There's no excuse for stealing whatsoever but there is an excuse for murder because if a son of a bitch steals something of yours, kill his ass.

It's time to go to Radio Shack and get some digital/video camera(s), they shouldn't cost that much, if I recall. Put the camera's up in an inconspicuous places and see who's coming inot your yard. There's a chance they'll comeback again for whatever.

Aw damn Shy that's terrible. I know what it's like to tend to a garden and work hard to yield beautiful flowers, plants, or veggies/fruit. I don't have lemon & pommegranate trees anymore cuz muhfuggas used to steal my fruit. I think it was ur bitch neighbor too- she gotta be a bitch to seal flowers. You probably were never gone long enough for her to steal them. Question is...what the hell she gonna do with them? She can't replant them else you'd know it was her. Maybe her wack ass gave them as a gift to somebody cuz she was too cheap to go to 800 flowers. Or maybe she just didn't want you to have anything nice. Some people will steal just about anything. Well, I now have a better perspective as to how the theft occurred. I found out yesterday that my neighbor has moved! I noticed that her car had not been parked in its space for about 10 days or so, which I thought was odd, but I figured she might have been away. However, I called another neighbor to inquire, and she told me my neighbor had moved to another town and that she was looking for a renter. So now I'm thinking that whoever had access to her house (there's a lockbox on her front door) stole my shit. My brother thinks it might have been the realtor, but I don't know if in fact she's using one since there is no sign on the lawn advertising for rent or sale. Plus she used to dabble in real estate herself, so she might be doing all her own negotiations. Well, that explains how two gigantic plants left her house without being seen, probably covered with a bag and hauled on to the moving van.

Well, good riddance! We used to be quite friendly, but over the years she had gotten quite nuts and I had to finally break off any relationship with her. I just hope she doesn't rent her house to some rowdy mofos or folks with a bunch of kids. If that happens, I'll be looking to move next.

Oh, and thanks to everyone for your sympathies. It's nice to know that people can feel my pain.

I'll probably not see her new place, I just know what town she moved to. We weren't exactly buddies when she left although we used to be close. We fell out back in 2005 after she got mad with me over some silly, petty mess. That's when I decided I'd had enough and just ignored her completely for 5 years.
