My weekend away was awesome!

My bf booked us a suite with a deck overlooking Lake Superior and a whirlpool and a fireplace and such. It was really nice. We hiked all over the place, saw a fox and a timber wolf and found lots of waterfalls and had several nice meals out.

I suppose that’s it, really. Not much to tell. It was relaxing and lovely and romantic and all of the things a nice weekend away should be.

My favorite thing that happened all weekend: when we were heading home on Sunday evening both of us were exhausted but he told me it was OK if I wanted to sleep. I put my seat back to kinda lay down and the sun kept shining in my eyes. I tried to adjust my seat a few times and after the third time in about 5 minutes, without a word, he reached in the back seat and pulled a sweatshirt off the seat and laid it over my head.

It’s a small thing but the perfect example of why I think he’s the most awesome boyfriend on the planet. He’s thoughtful and he’s sweet and he looks out for me.

And I liked that he had a picture of you and him at some b-day party on his page. You always dress so cute!

Yes, he IS adorable. Way more so in person, even.

And he is really, really smart. A big part of why I find him so attractive.

And it depends on which pics you’re talking about, but there are pics from the night I met him at my friend Katy’s party and a pic of just us from MY birthday party last month. I think that’s the only picture I have of just the two of us. And yes, I like that we both look happy.

How did you's guy's meet again?

Do you's have mutual friends?

If not how is the whole friend merging thing goin'?

Sometimes it can be easy and sometimes its akward, thats why I'm asking.

We met at my friend Katy's birthday party, so yeah, we have some mutual friends. We knew who each other were when we were 19-22-ish, traveled in similar circles but never really met. He lived in Seattle for 6 years and then lived in a small town in northern Minnesota for a few years before coming back to Minneapolis in the last few years.

We talked a lot and then flirted and such at the party and then he asked me out the next day.

Friend merging is working quite well. I like his friends, he likes mine.

He reached in the back seat to grab something while he was DRIVING!? You could have driven off the road... and through a fence ...and into a field, causing massive amounts of damage to wee small animal's homes!

It's all about the small things.

The sweetest gift Chris ever gave me was also probably the cheapest. When I took a job 40 miles away, he took a little plastic container we had, and filled it with trial sizes of everything I could ever possibly need: band-aids, Midol, Shout wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, lens wipes for my glasses, eyedrops, you name it. It's still in my glove compartment, but I've used all the stuff. I should refill it.
