Overweight girls turn you off?

You Don’t Like Overweight Girls? Think Again!

http://buzzinn.net/you-do...ght-girls/

Most of people doesn’t like overweight girls. Famous artists use Photoshop to show us how fat celebrities are thin and beautiful. But what most of people doesn’t know is that confidence is the key to being irresistible! And if you don’t like yourself, why would anyone else like you? You can think about that while watching photos made by Sølve Sundsbø…

Sølve Sundsbø is a Norwegian photographer who lives in London. His career began when four months into a course at the London College of Printing he became Nick Knight’s assistant.

Now Sundsbø is a regular contributor to magazines including Pop, i-D, Dazed and Confused, Numéro, Visionaire and Vogue Nippon. He has also worked with various high-profile clients including Yves Saint Laurent, Hermes, Nike, Lancôme and Mac cosmetics, as well as shooting album covers for Royksopp and Coldplay.

Sundsbø was voted best newcomer at the ‘International Festival of Fashion’ in Hyeres in spring 1999 and was chosen as Fashion Photographer by Creative Review for their ‘Creative Futures’ exhibition in Autumn 1999. He also contributed to the Biennale Florence with Alexander McQueen and held a personal exhibition at the International Festival of Fashion in Hyeres in 2003.

eek thumbs up!

I don't either. But many men want a size 0 or 2. And we all know that's a small percentage of the population. These women are gorgeous!!!

i think its bullshit people point fingers and just assume cause your overweight you cant be beautiful..

its makes me sad to know that the statistics are this case

im a plus size woman but i think if you carry yourself well and wear appropriate things that every aspect of you can be attractive...

i found a man (my husband who is 6'2 and 170lbs ) who fell in love with me 5'3 190lbs and a size16

there are very few but there a still some men that think a thick women is beautiful..

its stuff like this that always brings down and that is why its hard for me to believe im attractive because im not thin.. i think ill battle this for the rest of my life...

those girls in the picture are absolutly gorgeous and should not be photoshopped or airbrushed there is nothing unatractive to me about those pictures

anyway thanks for posting this girly heart

i needed to vent on this topic anyway it makes me feel better smile

i wonder what other people think when they look at me or someone like those women?

p.s im finally happy to see someone take pictures of what most real women look like

it makes me blissfull to see that because thats what i look like in my bra and underwear smile

one day i hope to have the confidence to try out for a torrid model search im just too shy when it comes to a huge audience and compitition....

Well, I believe if you must be slim, do it for health reasons and your own personal self-esteem. Not to attract the wrong kind of attention. All women should learn to embrace what they have and work with it.

And I say this from painful, personal experience. sigh I'm not overweight or anything, but I've suffered from body image issues all my life. It's only now I've learned to accept myself. But it's still a work in progress. neutral

And as far as men wanting size 0-2, jump a corpse's bones. Same experience. lol

Well, you can be photoshopped no matter what size you are. cool Maybe the world is catchng up with real women. shrug

I think you should just feel good about yourself. thumbs up!

Does being beautiful mean being a size 0?? I think not! While most children who develop eating disorders are between 11 and 13, studies have shown that 80% of 3rd through 6th graders are dissatisfied with their bodies or their weight and by age 9 somewhere between 30 and 40% of girls have already been on a diet. Between ages 10 and 16, the statistic jumps to 80%. Many eating disorder experts attribute this behavior to the effects of cultural expectations. Unnatural ideas of beauty bombard our little girls and teens for as long as they can remember, they need to know that they do not have to be as thin as bread sticks to be sexy or beautiful! Here are the Top 10 Sexiest “Plus-sized” (one hates to use the term) Models and Entertainers. Be happy with who you are, beauty is on the inside!

Top 10 Hottest “Plus” Sized Celebrities

Christina Schmidt

She is a 19-year-old Canadian plus-size model and actress whose beauty, confidence, and talent have earned her professional acclaim, and have made her a role model for a generation of full-figured girls.

Toccara Elaine Jones

Jones has modeled for Ashley Stewart, New York and Company, Target, Essence magazine, Vibe magazine, King magazine and Smooth magazine. Jones is currently a host for BET’s game show series Take the Cake. She made a cameo appearance in Trina’s music video for the song “I Got a Thang For You”.

Johanna Dray

Super sexy Dray is a plus-size model based in Paris and notably appeared in John Galliano’s ‘Everybody is Beautiful’ Spring 2006 prêt-à-porter show and subsequent French Vogue editorial of the collection, wearing what turned out to be Galliano’s best-selling dress of the show. Dray has appeared in editorials for Elle France and Gala magazine. She has worked with some of Europe’s leading photographers such as Nick Knight and Steve Hiatt, and with European clients such as Marina Rinaldi and Giani Forte.

But men aren't held to the same high beauty standards that women are. Look at every sit-com on TV involving a married man and his wife. According to Jim--hot, beautiful wife...slouchy husband. King of Queens---hot, sexy wife...slouchy, overweight husband. And when you do see a full-figured female, the husband is also. (House of Payne, Roseanne) I could keep naming them.

Hell, it even extends to cartoon shows. Family Guy, The Simpsons.

You will never see a sitcom where the husband looks like Shemar Moore and the wife looks like Monique. Or the husband looks like Brad Pitt and the wife looks like Roseanne. Tell me why that is??? hmmm

stretch marks, creeses, and such which they've taken out of these photos, I can understand. They do it all the time to skinny girls, so why not fat ones? It's fashion afterall, and fashion doesn't aim to be honest.

However, there's something very wrong with the first photo. I'm not sure what it is, but it doesn't look remotely real. Perhaps they shrunk her head or 'thinned' it through photoshop--I'm not sure. I notice how they added tons of volume to the hair through the wind-swept effect to counter balance the weight of her body to even things out. But that's what drew my eyes to her head to begin with--which I'm certain they must have photoshopped. It just doesn't look real.

The bathing suit on the second one is the wrong style and color for a girl her size. The angle they used was also designed to hide her figure rather than accentuate it. The pictures reek disingenuous self-acceptance moreso than empowered fat pride.

That's it. I'm stepping up my jogging like crazy.

But not all media makes men appear that way. Even when they are making a serious show or movie, or in real life relationships involving athletes, musicians, rappers, etc. Never I have seen (or if I did it was canceled) a handsome, gorgeous man on the arm of a very full-figured and homely woman. NEVER! You will find the ugliest male (Jay Z, Mike Tyson) with the most gorgeous, slim, model-looking female...but you will never see the opposite.
