Do You Like Thunderstorms? The reason why I ask is because I know some people who really love them, and also some people who loathe them. The only time they bother me is when the lightening is really close to the house and/or right over me. Yikes! Other than that, they're okay. My older siblings and their wives love thunderstorms. Heck they will go outside and stand on their porch right in the middle of a bad storm, and love every minute of it. I'm not quite as daring as they are. I always worry about getting struck by lightening or something. In fact, I almost got struck by lightening once as a child. It scared the hell out of me. Ever since then, at the first sign of lightening, I will head to a safe place. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Thunderstorms are just about my most favorite thing in the whole world.
I love to be outside when the gust front comes through. You stand there facing the storm, the smell of rain in the air, and see the clouds rolling toward you. All of a sudden, it becomes very calm, sprinkles a bit...and then the wind slams you, taking your breath away. It's like that moment when you're on top of the first incline of a rollercoaster, when you just hang there for a second before all hell breaks loose and you're plunging down, the air forced out of you. There's only one other thing I know that feels like that - but I won't hijack the thread. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I think my brothers and their wives like to be outside during a storm too, for the exact reasons that you stated in your post. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I am really surprised that so many people here say they love thunderstorms. I am not that afraid of them, but they do scare me a bit if I am not somewhere where I know I am safe. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Yes, very much. I only feel uncomfortable if I'm outside where there are many trees. Other than that, I love rain and thunder, even when I'm outside.

Absolutely love them. There's nothing better than sweaty sex on a hot summer's night with open windows and a huge thunderstorm outside, with lightenings everywhere. So sexy.

i love thunderstorms. especially in summer, when dark clouds roll in
and the light becomes this extreme, almost surreal shade of blueish green. especially if the sun shines on the trees with the storm just blowing in from the other side. that light and the shades it makes the leaves is one of my favorit things e.v.e.r. the storms themselves i love only when i'm inside nothing like wind and rain beating down hard and the lightning that flashes across the sky before a deep, rolling thunder reverberates across it. another cool thing about thunderstroms is when they're just done and you go outside for a walk. the smell of the ozone that came down with the rain and the air that still feels slightly electric. there's not a single thing like it. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Being outside in an area where there are a lot of trees would freak me out too. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I also like kissing in the heavy rain, then rush home, rip one's clothes off and just continue you know where.

Summer thunderstorms are da shit, man. i remember one distinct storm, the best ever, in the summer of 1997. i'd been visiting a friend who lived about 15 miles from me and the sky became darker and darker so i decided i would just race home on my bycicle and try to beat the storm. but fcuz, the storm caught up with me just about halfway. the wind picked up, but because it was hot summer the wind was warm and moist and felt really good. just when the first flashes of lightning ran across the sky i cycled into a huge woodland lane that ran for about 5 miles and it was just the most unreal beautiful thing i've ever seen. the trees were all bending down in the wind and the leaves rustled in a very sinister way as the flashes of lightning set the whole forest in a sort of strobelight. i was scared but at the same time extatic. nothing like a good old thunderstorm to make you feel like the animal that you really are when push comes to shove. there's something so elemental and brutal about it. like you already said, thunderstorms make for a great backdrop to hot sex. they scare you a bit but they also stirr up a kind of earthy lust and yearning. damn, i want a thunderstorm right now and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I absolutely love thunderstorms! I like the lightning more than the thunder tho. I remember when I was around 13 or so, there was a hurricane that caused this crazy lightning that flashed so bright and so often, it lit up the sky like a dim sunlight. And me and my dad were sitting in the window with a big smile on our faces. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09
