Doesn't AI have the highest scoring post season average
behind a recent hall of famer who also never met a shot
he didn't like. wink

I don't get this. A.U. doesn't win.....and he can't shoot. Anyone in the NBA can toss up 25 shots a game.

lol That is probably the best sound bite ever. Next to Dennis Green "They are who we thought they were" sound bite, this is my favorite.

That was my point. That 2001 Sixers team is easily one of the worst teams to ever make the NBA Finals. Iverson and Larry Brown can't get enough praise for pulling off that feat of magic. That's as far from "pitiful" as it gets.
[Edited 12/2/09 3:05am]

I won't say their the worst team to make the NBA Finals especially
since you had a New York Knicks team minus Patrick Ewing to make
the finals not to long ago. Remember this Philly team had the best
record in the Eastern Conference that year and were on pace for the
best record in the league until Theo Ratliff got hurt. Dude was having
the best season of his career and may have been the defensive player of
the year. Once it was discovered Ratliff was done for the season, the team
was backed into a corner and had to trade for Motombo.Philly had to change
their philosophy somewhat to accomodate Motombo. Ratliff was probably not
as physical as Motombo but he was far more versatile and faster.
Motombo was slow and lawd once he got the ball in the paint and he put
the ball on the floor,it got ugly. Ratliff knew what to do with it once
he got it in the paint. Had Ratliff stayed healthy, this team would have
been among the best for a few more years.

That Knicks team had better players than the Sixers team (save Iverson). Ratliff was having a great year, but without Iverson that team would've had a hard time even getting shots, much less scoring. That little dude all but carried them to the finals.

Soundbite-wise, I give both Dennis Green and Jim Mora the edge over Iverson. He's ahead of Herm Edwards, though.

So what is your EXCUSE 4 Denver?

So let me ask AGAIN.....what is your EXCUSE 4 Denver?

.....birds chirping.....

Denver was never healthy. Kenyon, Nene, Chris Anderson,Melo was just getting into his own. Plus, that was a just a bad matchup. Isaid it when the trade happened. lol

I go online to purchase tickets for the Sixers game against Denver (his first game) two days ago they were $25..today they were$48..and yes I bought them..THAT'S why the Sixers made this move..they were next to last in attendance and just like that the next two home games are sold out..some moves are made strictly for the money..they already suck this year so they might as well fill the seats and we can be entertained.

Kenyon and Nene played basically the whole season. Chris Ander comes back from a 3 year suspension. Ect.

You taking this Iverson thing a little too
serious aren't you. lol
I remember him and Carmelo took them out last
year when he was still with Denver. I don't care
about braids. Hell i wore them in the 70's when
i was a kid. Now those ugly ass tattoos is a
whole different story.

I watched the John Thompson/A.I interview and they are both living in denial.
Iverson ends the dialogue with this: "All the coach needs 2 do is tell me what u want me 2 do, and I'll do it".

Just came back from the game and they were doing okay..they were leading when he sat down..then they lost the lead and once he came back in,they were down double digits and they lost.He had no legs by the 4th quarter but that team is horrible and that coach is a joke. But the place was sold out and that's what matters to management..mission accomplished.
