The Shining (the twins and the lady in the bathroom scene)
The Omen I (the dogs)
Friday the 13th (1st one) (the lake scene at the end)
Poltiergiest I (the doll under the bed)
Halloween (the original) (something about the theme music)

All these were very scary to me as I saw them as a child when they were originally released.

Yep and yep. One of the best film endings ever.

So under-rated and under-hyped. Stephen King adaptations are either brilliant or terrible - this was definitely in the brilliant category.

The giant spiders in the drugstore. Good God, it's one creepy film.

The DVD I have has the color theaterical version...but then the same movie in black and white. It gives the flick a totally different feel...kind like an old Twilight Zone episode. Very cool.
