Does he remember you guys? Excellent question!! We have a very particular way of calling our cats (sort of a kissy-kissy/tsk-tsk-tsk sound?) and when we saw him at the back of the Vets holding cage I called to him and he immediately came to the front bars... brought tears to my eyes... they are so cute I have one 
This is a good story to tell people when they ask, "Is it really necessary to microchip my cat?" Glad you got her back. What a great story!!
