Does your sleeping style match your personality? I know we've had the 'how do you sleep' topic before, but does your style correlate with your personality?
The Foetus (41%): Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position. Log (15%): Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible. The yearner (13%): People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it. Soldier (8%): Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides. People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved. They don't like a fuss, but set themselves and others high standards. Freefall (7%): Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don't like criticism, or extreme situations. Starfish (5%): Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention. ![]() http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/h...112170.stm

I do freefaller but with left arm down, then turn to the left into foetus but with my right arm bent up under the pillow. Then soldier slightly angled to my right, then same but left, then freefaller again to actually sleep. Uhh, well since you actually sleep in the freefaller position, you can just join me in that category It is accurate for me. Especially the "don't like criticism, or extreme situations" part

I don't know, I do all of those positions, except for "Log" & "Soldier"! I've built a wall not to block anyone out, but to see who loves me enough to climb over it.

I'm a yearner! When I was 16, I fully expected to be able to build my own KITT car.

Not sure any of that applies really. Nervy? Well, I'm shy, so get nervous in certain situations. Extreme situations... perhaps, but who does like those? I tend to start out in the Soldier position then I move to a combination of the foetus, and yearner position. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

Yeah, they need a category for people like me who flop around all night. "After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill...the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

I usually go to bed in a combination of the yearner, fetal, and starfish positions but can't get to sleep unless I'm in the freefaller position.

Yeah, they need a category for people like me who flop around all night. People really fall asleep in one position and wake up exactly the same I would think I was dead if that happened to me |

People really fall asleep in one position and wake up exactly the same I would think I was dead if that happened to me I always wake up in the soldier, but I can only fall asleep in the yearner or yearner/foetal combo, so I'm going by that When I was 16, I fully expected to be able to build my own KITT car.

I won't say which one mine is, but it fits me. However, I put as much faith into these things as I do astrology, or seeing the face of god in a potato chip. Fun to look at though. Ernest L Sewell, IV

i'm so fetus style it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.
