They should ban fashion magazines! These big, glossy, oversized things just get in the way. They have way too many ads, pimping way too much stuff nobody real can afford. They use lots of paper, wrecking the environment. They give a skewed view of beauty and self realized looks. All the models are skinny, mostly white. They promote the idea that rich is better.

There should be more restrictions in what the magazines should and can portray, but NO I don't think they should be bannned.

Love 'em. A few things about Fashion Mags: -They should not get rid of them, just make them more inclusive. -Here's the thing, when they start putting sizes 12 and 16 in a mag, YOU HAVE TO BUY THEM. Or buy the ones that do. People bitch and bitch about models being too skinny, but they still gravitate towards that image of beauty. People need to put their $$ where their mouths are. If you don't like the sizes being represented in the major magazines, support other publications instead. http://www.skorchmagazine.com/ http://dailyvenusdiva.com/ -Mainstream fashion mags should be read with a grain of salt by grown folk who know what's fantasy and what's reality. Totally agree. I don’t subscribe to any magazines these days, but I used to buy one that used almost exclusively amateur models. Women of all shapes, shades and sizes who had a bit of style could apply to model and that’s how they were chosen – regular folks who liked clothes. Still, now and again I like an issue of W or French Vogue or something like that and I like to just daydream over all the prettiness. |

With the industry using skinny ass models then there is no "positive" role model to young girls who start fasting even in elementary school. Edmonton, AB - |

If people boycotted them and advised the mags why...these restriction would easily be self imposed. What can't happen, and rightfully so, is the gov't telling them what they can and can't say/print. so talk to your sisters and let 'em know the agenda that NEEDS to be at hand. One bright day in the middle if the night,
2 dead boys got up to fight. Back 2 back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other A deaf Policeman head this noise, he came and shot the 2 dead boys. If you don't believe this lie

Even as a plus-sized girl, I can spend hours in shops where the clothes would never fit me, cause I get ideas from what's there. It's actually a litle intimdating, the idea that I will soon fit into "regular" sized clothes. It's like sensory overload. I have so many choices, I don't know what to do. lol. |

But you will enjoy them so. And I'm willing to bet that because you've had to be creative (I can tell you're a creative person anyways) in taking inspiration from "regular" sized trends and translating them to plus size, you will never wear the clothes like all the other girls, who are used to simply grabbing off the rack and slippin them on as they're presented and sold to them.
