But for the past 4 years I've been doing it bit by bit throughout the year so by Xmas I won't need to do any more shopping. Maybe pick up the odd thing and then just wrap up the pressies and put them under the tree. I can't shop early. I always think that if I buy somebody something to early,I am bound to see something later on,that I think they would like more. Last minute, during the week leading to Christmas the major department stores trade 24 hours per day and I usually go at 2am or 3am and do it all then. It's busy during the night too and has taken me over an hour to find parking at that time but it also means no screaming children or babies are around (woo-hoo). Left Of The Middle....

I usually start and finish the day after Thanksgiving. This year, since I'm low on funds, I'll probably start early. I know I'm going to be putting up my Christmas decorations in my house on November 1st so I won't have to worry with it the weekend after Thanksgiving. "Who gonna check me boo?" I only buy for my wife and my dad. My wife picks out the gifts for everyone else, including my family. I usually get her stuff in the early part of December. Ithaca's Number 1 Prince Fan

What do you get grown nieces and nephews who are married with kids of their own? I want to do a family type gift, but not something lame. [Edited 10/21/09 16:30pm]

I bought some things yesterday. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
