Who here DOESN'T USE SHOPPING LISTs?

A friend of mine will buy all the ingrediants for that's night dinner without a shopping list.

I mean, she doesn't forget ANYTHING and is totally in control.
However, I'll go to the store with only 3 things in mind, and I'll buy like 10 things and forget 2 of the original 3 things I was SUPPOSED to buy.

I totally need a shopping list for anything that's more than 5 items.

Are any of you NOT shopping list makers? How is this even possible?

I put reminders on my phone for important stuff like mouthwash, toilet paper and vitamins. When I buy a new tub of vitamins with 60 tablets, I set an alarm to go off in 50 days, so I don't run out.

I buy random stuff most of the time
then I have to think really hard what to make with it all hmmm

I used to use lists....but, now I realize I buy the same shit over and over again, so why bother?

I take a mental image of what we have in the fridge before I depart and ask if anyone needs anything in particular, then I'm off...

I'm pretty good...nod

MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

Is that why you start those threads about whipping together random ingrediants and needing help? lol

The thing that throws a spanner in the works for me with food preparation is there is 5 of us, with 5 different ideas of what tastes good confused

If I haven’t gone in a while and a friend is taking me I always make a list cause that means it’s a “big” trip cause I’ve got a car to get stuff home in (as if I’m taking the bus I don’t like to carry more than one reusable bag) and I stock up on frozen and dry goods. If I have a specific recipe I’m trying out that’s new I always make a list for that too.

For my smaller, weekly trips I rarely do. I usually know off the top of my head what I need and if I feel like it I browse for new ideas. There’s a produce market, middle eastern grocery, mexican grocery and a couple of bakeries right IN my new building, so I can wander around down there and get ideas for the next few meals and I never have to buy more than a day or two worth of fresh food. I LOVE it.
