Go see "Zombieland", it ROCKS

Well, it does if you're a guy. My wife wasn't all that thrilled with it. But I thought it was GREAT. HILARIOUS. It's about killing zombies, of course, but it is at heart a comedy. A comedy that will make you jump out of your seat a few times, though.

I can't give it away, but the scene where they end up at the house of someone famous is one of the greatest, funniest scenes in the history of movies.

"Guitar" on Leno is the greatest performance in the history of rock ' roll

I'm interested in seeing this however just from the previews I think the guy from Juno should have been cast as Woody's sidekick....

The rules were hilarious

Rule #1 - ???

MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

I was going to see it last night but a friend ended up with tickets to see Patton Oswalt instead. I am not a fan of zombie movies, aside from Sean of the Dead but I love Woody Harrelson.

That was good but it blows!

It wants to be 'Napoleon Dynamite' meets 'Shaun of the Dead.'
Then dissolved into boy meets, falls for, gets stupid for, saves girl, who of course THEN realizes . . . . .

It was so fucking hilarious falloff

OMG, the first 60 seconds alone had me in stitches lol
Everyone seemed to enjoy the flick. The end was bit much, but for a halloween flick it's nice to have a movie that doesn't take itself seriously.

And the "BM" mansion part .... oh mahhhh gaw falloff!!!

Woody has a REALLY nice ass now that he's beefed/butched up a little bit.
lol

Well I thought Zombieland was going to be a new kind of flavor of zombie movie, but only the opening 5-10 minutes and then one part where they meet and hang out with someone interesting filled that. The rest is very typical (forced comedy, shoot-em-up zombie gore almost Robert Rodriguez Planet Terror type stuff) which is boring for me. I mean the first time I personally saw overt zombie comedy was in Return of the Living Dead back in 1986.

Shawn of the Dead was way better. So was Vacation. And Dawn of the Dead (the remake).

It's almost like they really tired (ha, I meant to say tried) to make a new movie for the opening, and then another writer came in and wrote that part where they meet someone and hang out, and then the rest is nothing special. I mean if you want to see Woody Harrelson as a tough guy in a post modern type creative film we got Natural Born Killers....

Paranormal Activity on the other hand is a true movie watching experience. A line to get in, packed theatre, and it delivers for the audience, and muscles them into submission.

The movie isn't to be over analyzed, it's meant to have a high cheese factor, it was funny (and we all need some funny right about now).

The rules kept me laughing...

I wasn't laughing in any of it except the very beginning and when they hang in the mansion... that's a problem!

For example when the rules start popping up later, for me it's like nothing, not cool, not funny... just kind of like whatever.

Shawn of the Dead was way better for a comedy zombie film. And had a good Prince joke!

I did just rent "Observe and Report" which I heard was supposed to be good.

I thought "I Love You Man" had some funny stuff in it. Having Lou Ferrigno as your cameo is cool considering I've had a little framed portrait of him as a joke by my workstation for years now.

Yeah, pretty much. But it's worth going to see, and especially for the scene where they end up at a famous person's house. That scene is destined to live forever.

I thought the beginning was great, and the rest was boring, although the detour at the mansion was amusing, but didn't really fit, and was actually much better then the rest of the movie.
