25 Years of Spinal Tap

One of my favorite films of all times and the original "mockumentary" comes to Blu-Ray today.

This and a new album coming out a few weeks ago celebrates 25 years of this classic.

Any other fans out there. Will you "tap" into this movie again?

I recently watched the bonus disc, and there were so many outtakes it was like an extra movie. A worse extra movie, but an extra movie nonetheless

Funniest film ever!

I like the obvious quotes but I like this scene:





I also like the random quotes from his manager about a gig being canceled in Boston.

"The Boston gig just got canceled, guys. No big deal, though. It's not a big college town."

Then there was the scene with Fran Drescher where she tells the band that the record company rejected their original album cover for Smell The Glove:

Fran Drescher's character: "The label's ditching your album cover. They just can't release it because it's too offensive. You have a woman on all fours greased up and wearing nothing but a dog collar with a hand wearing a leather glove being pushed into her face. They think it's incredibly sexist."

Spinal Tap: "Well, we were going for a sexy look."

Fran Drescher's character: "Did you hear me correctly? It's not sexy; it's SEXIST!"

And of course this:



"Oh no, if I've told them once, I've told them a hundred times: Put Ramona Reed first and Spinal Tap and puppet show last..."
