July 22, 2009 ~ Update
There were 8 charities in the running and THANKS TO YOUR VOTE, Marine Parents won Squidoo's $3000 prize money! The money will be used to ship care packages to deployed Marines on August 15th and will cover the cost of shipping nearly 300 packages! Thank you to all who took the time to vote. Your unwavering support proved, once again: If Marine families can't get it done, who can? Ooh Rah! 
You know, this might be a good time to tell you about my poor, sick Grandmother. All she has in this world are the clothes on her back and a paypal account.
