NBA:Houston's Yao Ming May Never Play Again

This sucks - Yao was becomming one of the league's best big men. I wouldn't count on him coming back, not with the injuries to that foot. I agree with the author - Rockets should just rebuild.

The writer (and others) have complained that he contributed to his physical breakdown by participating in International play. Well, his contribution to the NBA's image in Eastern Asia turns in HUGE dividends for the league. Yao was a great investment, a great talent, and should be groomed to be a great ambassador and gateway for Eastern Asia talent to join the big league.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

Fauxie

I blame the people around him. So many commitments and so much responsibility. He's a classy guy and doesn't seem to say no to anybody. Hopefully he can keep playing.

Sad but it's not like he had a choice where playing for China was concerned.

I read that too - why would Walsh want a 37 year old point guard? And why would Kidd come here? I thought he wanted to win a title.

Because he can still run an uptempo system, and D'Antoni LOVES the "7 seconds or less" offense.

Bout time. It was WAY overdue. Curry wasn't ready to be a head coach.

IMO, either Avery or Bill Laimbeer will be the next Pistons coach.

Even with Kidd the Knicks are going to suck again this season.

I guess Kidd feels the Knicks will land LeBron, Wade or Bosh in 2010.

Can any one think of a single reason why any team would sign A.I.?

What do you get when you take the first letter of the words in "Seven Seconds Or Less" and spell them backwards?

Wow. I feel badly for Yao. He seems like since he came into the league, he could never catch a good groove. I hope that he is able to beat the odds and come back for the 2010-2011 season.
