Oh my god you guys! Stop being offended like I chopped off your tit! lol I am not saying it's not possible. I think for women sexuality is more fluid. I think with guys not so much or I'd be banging a hell of a lot of straight guys.

and melissa, I have even entertained what sex with you would be like. You just got it like that lol

No you wouldn't, you'd be nailing bi guys. A difference, there is one. wink

Male sexuality is only more rigid because it's forced to be in our culture, not because it's naturally happens to be. It's completely illogical that nature would design females with fluid sexual appetites and males with static ones.

This isn't really about you Supa, but in my experience the most sexually conservative people when it comes to sexuality and gender roles are gay people, particularly gay men.

I'm listening and I get it and I'm being an ass lol

Look, I definitely think bi-sexuality exists BUT the percentage is what I'm disputing. Since I am strictly gay, I probably don't run into bi-sexuality as much as bis or straights. I am saying that the majority of very and openly gay men have in the past claimed to be bi-sexual for the purpose of destigmatizing, at least somewhat, our own sexuality.

The other day on the bus this guy started telling me all his problems. People seem to want to do this with me so I let them. Telling me all about his girlfriend and her family and ALL the issues surrounding them and the whole time I'm thinking:

I cannot believe that everyone in this scenario isn't acknowledging that this is the lovechild of Rip Taylor and Paul Lynde exclaim

Seriously! lol He's telling me all about his straight woes and In my head I want to tell him to come the fuck out of that saran wrap closet! lol That is my point, not that bi-sexuality does not exist in men, just that I don't believe it's as prevalent as it is in women.

Also, I'm one of those freaks that thinks sex scenes in regular movies and TV are hotter. Don't ask me why. Though I am of the opinion legitimate actors should get into doing porn. lol

Agree on both counts. I think the reason you and I find it hotter is because, even though it's acting all the same, it comes off as more 'genuine' somehow, as if it were the real deal, y'know? Sex scenes in movies/TV shows are almost always there for a reason other than cheap, forced, smutty entertainment. And knowing that porn is just that, it simply does nothing for me. neutral

Then you're calling men I've loved liars. And you're telling me that they weren't really hot for me, and weren't really in love with me. neutral

I'm always amazed at the insensitivity of gays towards bisexuals. Because you KNOW what it feels like. Why would you perpetuate that? It's not a joke, luv.

I wonder how my results in this study would have come out? I'm about as sex-positive as it gets, but I find porn boring and porn stars of both genders repulsive. hmmm

batting eyes mr.green

I know, same here. Plus, a lot of it for me depends on the specific act, as far as what's hot. Making out? Same-sex of either gender is hot, opposite-sex is not. Oral on a guy? I'd rather watch a guy do it. Oral on a girl? Either is good. Fucking? I prefer to watch an opposite-sex couple. Role-play? Gay men pwn that shit. BDSM? Only interested in watching men top women. None of that has ANYthing to do with my real-life preferences. I would leave a team of researchers very, very confused. lol

Then you'd be wrong. shrug

Funny how I'm not the only one who said this EXACT same thing yet you just HAD to reply to me. rolleyes And you REALLY need to stop trying to speak for all people as if you know everyone's life story. Why don't you just stick to your own situation and let others speak for themselves? Various gay people have spoken from their own experiences yet you are insistent that YOUR point of view is the only correct one when this is a very personal issue with no wrong or right answer. Your conviction that you and only you is correct makes you look totally ridiculous and unworthy of any real discourse on anything. hah!
[Edited 6/23/09 10:31am]

I believe it is you who has stated a generalized comment about bi men being on a road to becoming fully gay. From what i've read you have said bi men are just young gay men. I see many others, including meow who have said that sometimes that is the case but it is not a rule. This arguement is about whether bi men exist and you have just declared that they do not. However you then claim to see this as a personal issue with no right or wrong? There are Bi Men out there. Many are not as open about it as gay folks who first came out as bi.So please stop making generalizations on personal issues SCNDLS.

rolleyes When have I ever said that??? Please show me a post where I've said that. And I wasn't the only one who used that exact phrase of being on the way to Gaytown. So are you gonna talk shit to CarrieMPLS too??? Somehow, I doubt it. lol

bored2 It's obvious that you must be homegirl's friend to come with this shit the next day when it was already squashed. Not to mention you rarely post yet you feel the need to come at me when other folks said the same thing. So very obvious. I KNEW she couldn't resist. hah!

In all of my statements I make it quite clear that it's MY opinion based on MY experiences I do not present my opinions as facts nor say that they apply to all people, unlike your homegirl. So please keep your feeble attempts to confront me moving, playa. lol

Interesting. I'm actually watching a movie called Bi The Way right now about bisexuality in america.

I came out as gay but now I have no problem saying i'm a little bi-curious... (I lost my train of thought while typing this... lol) I have no desire to do even half the things I'd be interested in doing with a male with a female tho (dating, kissing etc.)

I actually came across this thread on my own and although i do know meow we haven't spoken in weeks or more. The reason i commented on your remarks was simply because i felt your the tone of your comments was stating that bi-sexual men do not exist and are really just unsure gay men. Thats the tone i took from your comments and felt it appalling. I will admit your comments caught my interest more after your arguing with meow. I don't post very often mainly because i rarely feel the need to toss my two cents into threads on here. alot seem to be more personal between friend orgers. today i've gone through the first 6 pages and this is the only thread that really caught my commenting attention.

So now you're just gonna make shit up out of thin air, huh??? hah! I didn't use the word unsure in ANY of my posts. Matter of fact, I had exactly ONE post directly related to this topic in which I said EXACTLY:
"I always think of bisexuality as a stop on the way to Gaytown."

How is this a generalization when I said "I always think . . . " ????? This is just MY opinion, I didn't say it was a fact OR that it applies to everyone.

Other folks wrote multiple sentences and paragraphs explaining in depthly how they question the validity of bisexuality. CarrieMPLS even used the exact words I did a few posts after me. YET somehow, my little innocuous, 13-word sentence is the one out of 160+ replies on the matter that set you off??? That don't even make no damn sense. lol
