I'm pulling for the Pittsburgh Penguins!

Sidney Crosby will lead in scoring, he's on fire now.

Number of Stanley Cups won:

Montreal Canadiens - 24
Toronto Maple Leafs - 11
Detroit Red Wings - 11

Detroit could move into second place all-time with a win this year. It's never really talked about much, but I'm sure all the Red Wings are aware of it. That's got to be an extra motivator for them.

But Pittsburgh are playing so hot right now, I can see them taking the first game from Detroit. I'm not going to predict any farther than that. lol

The youngsters from Detroit are going to be HUGE...Helm, Filpilla...FIYAH!

MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

Guess who was the first US team to win the Stanley Cup.

Tha'd be the Seattle Metropolitans in 1917. The first American team to do so.

A bad weekend for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Still I'm not saying they're out of it. They'll bounce back to win a game.

You think so? I think they look better and this will end up being a closer series than it looks right now.

The Wings have gotten plenty o good bounces...at least 4 of the Penguin shots went off the bars and, at times, they have outplayed the Wings, however, not for long stretches of time. The Wings can play better, but they are banged up right now...don't underestimate the playmaking of Datsuyk.

I'm giving game 3 to the Pens...but I'm routing for the Wings!

MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

Penguins Take Game 3

The news of the Pittsburgh Penguins demise may have been grossly exaggerated.

Maxime Talbot scored twice while Sergei Gonchar's powerplay tally in the third period proved to be the winner as the Pens took Game 3 from the Detroit Red Wings by a 4-2 count.

While Talbot was thrilled with the win, he was equally excited about the play of his best friend on the team, Marc-Andre Fleury, who came up with 27 saves in the victory.

"I'm so happy for Fleury because in Game 1 and 2 he got criticized a little bit, but tonight I think he won the battle of the goaltenders. I have a lot of trust in that guy, he's amazing. If I had a choice to take any goaltender in the league, I would choose Fleury and he proved it tonight."

In addition to the stellar play of Fleury, the Penguins' made the most of their chances on the power play, scoring twice with the man advantage.

"When you get an opportunity on the power play you want to make the most of it," Sidney Crosby stated. "We did a great job of that tonight."
