I need help coming up with a name for a business/store.

After seeing the shows on TLC about the families of Little People, and hearing their struggles with finding clothing,I would like to try my hand at making clothes specifically for them. I have read how they sometimes pay more than the cost of the clothes to have them tailored to fit,and how expensive it can be,but I am having a hard time coming up with a name that let's people know of what I am selling, but that is not offensive sounding. Any ideas?

Don't think there's not a niche market.
I took this when we lived in Philly. This bar was a few miles from our house.

KRONOS razz

In Greek mythology he's the smallest of the sons of earth, and the only one unafraid to challenge the imprisonment that him and his siblings endured (due to fear of being overthrown) at the hands of their father. His mother fashioned a metal weapon and Kronos struck at his fathers head, freeing himself and becoming the ruler. There's lot more to the story, but I always like how his size is emphasized in the story, as if the greeks were trying to point out how little correlation there is between bravery and size. They continue these 'David and Goliath' themes throughout many of their stories, actually--rewarding character and bravery over the gift of size.

A bit high concept, but I'm an artist and shit.

Personally, I wouldn't use anything in the name that blatantly reminds them of their size. Not that they're ashamed of it, but aren't little people constantly being reminded of their size?

I would venture to say no woman wants to walk into a store that says "PLUS SIZE" on it. There was a store here called "Added Dimensions" a few years ago, and even though the name was subdued and 'dignified', it was a constant reminder of the woman's size. Women who shopped there did so out of necessity and not because they really wanted to.

I think in your case, try and pick a name that emphasizes choice and possibilities--not the obvious fact of their size which they already are reminded of just reaching for something in the fridge.

I really hate discrimination towards little people. lol

All good points. But if you don't include something in the name that let's people know of what kind of clothing you are selling, how are they going to know that is what you are selling? I know that Lane Bryant caters to plus size women, and the name Lane Bryant doesn't included this information, but they are SO well know that they don't really have to,but for someplace that is new,and catering to people that usually aren't in the clothing department,I would think unless you are already known of,people are not going to say "Oh,dream sequence carries little people clothing".

I really appreciate the help though! smile
