Rank your favourite Star Trek movies

we had this done several times for Star Wars but I can't remember a thread where we did it for Star Trek. so here's my (current) list

1 First Contact
2 Wrath Of Khan
3 Voyage Home
4 Search for Spock
5 Generations
6 Undiscovered Country
7 Insurrection
8 Nemesis
9 Star Trek I
10 Final Frontier

it's still to soon to fit Star Trek 11 into my list, but I suspect it might clock in around position 4

The Voyage Home. okay, this movie has some flaws, mainly that the main character is missing i.e. The Enterprsie , and for the most part is not really a science fiction movie (aging folks clowning around in Frisco), but it's still entertaining and lots of fun to watch razz

1.Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
2. Star Trek the Motion Picture
3. Star Trek (JJ Abrams)

Khan is undisputably the best written/edited movie in my opinion. I was hoping the new one would overtake it, but there are weaker moments in the script of the new one. It's not a genius gem like II. For whatever reason, none of the next generation films make me want to watch them over and over.

The first Star Trek, while not so emotionally engaging, just has this solid nostaligic mood for me, and I could watch it over and over.

The new film was fun... I need to see it again on a regular screen.

I put the new Star Trek at the top of the list, where it is very closely contested by The Wrath of Khan. It might even be surpassed by Wrath of Khan at times.

After that, it's The Voyage Home and then The Search for Spock. The rest of them I couldn't really rank. They're just kind of there and any order works.

I like the whale one! It was kinda funny. And I like thinking about whales in a big fishtank on a Vulcan bird of prey - traveling through time, no less.

The only really shitty one was #5 - where they went in search of God or whatever. Lame. They came back nicely with The Undiscovered Country though.
