would you help somebody who you despised/didn't like if nobody else could? pass them by in a rainstorm if they were on the corner?

I would absolutely help, even if it was someone I hated, like my old boss.

If I was the only one there, that would tell me I'm the person there to help. It's not for me to decide whether they deserve the help.

Depends on what the trouble was. Pass them in a rainstorm? Hell, yes. That ain't real trouble - they're just wet.

I'm not at a place where it'd be altogether easy to do it, but I'd like to think yes.

Now... if they're simply in a bind, but would eventually come out relatively unscathed, I'd let 'em stew at least for awhile. But dire trouble? Yes, I'd be more inclined to lend a hand.

Yeah, if they're not smart enough to come in out of the rain, that's not on me. If they were drowning, I'd help if I could. (Unless I despised them for a really good reason.)
