How many murders were there in your town in 2007?

Inspired by abierman's recent thread, I'm curious about comparative regional violence around the world. Check some reliable source and let us know how many homicides there were in your locale in 2007

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 84 homicides in 2007

I can't find anything for 2007, but there were 60 in 2006 in the city of Minneapolis.

Only 494, the lowest in New York City in decades!

Where would I look specifically for Mesa or Phoenix Metropolitan area?

Still a very safe city .

OMG!! Guess what?!! I took my first subway ride of my adult life this past Sunday. Some crazy fool was on there and he said that he loves women of all colors and that he's a male lesbian. He also said that if we find an abandoned bag on the floor, to give it to him 'cause it might have cash or weed in it.
