I went to First Avenue, Paisley Park Studio's and some bar that was on a river, can't remember what it was called, there were people arriving on their boats! It was a pretty cool and relaxing place to be. Someone here may know the bar I'm on about. It was back in 2003 I visited, I only had two nights there but it was brilliant to visit. I was just there and the newfangled Guthrie Theatre is mindblowing! The building has an arm that extends out over the Mississippi River. We went there at night and watched some guerrilla artists projecting animation up on the the "Gold Medal Flour" silos. It was awesome. | |

If you feel inclined to venture into St. Paul, take a tour of the James Hill House located on historic Summit Ave - which, in itself, is a beautiful street to see in the autumn. Quite worth your time if you appreciate historical sites and architecture. Depending on precisely when you'll be visiting, the JJH House might also have seasonal and musical events scheduled, such as ghost story readings or concerts.
