I heard Queen Latifah say in an interview that the original title of LS was Friends and that the pilot was shopped to NBC who passed but developed their own white version. She made some other comparisons to Friends showing the connection but I forgot what they were.

Kyle was fucking hilarious. Max was as well. Very good show. They had a bunch of guest stars, too - Nia Long, Rosie O'Donell, Tatyana Ali, Grant Hill, Cedric Ceballos, Bobby Bonilla, Desmond Howard, Eartha Kitt, Giancarlo Esposito, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnutt, Denise Nicholas, Ron O'Neal, Mel Jackson, jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Daryl Bell, Charmaine Brown, Khalil Kain, Heavy D, Cree Summer, Isaiah Washington, J. This show was and still is a great show!! They had a good run, but I wish it had lasted longer. I didn't care for Friends at all and Livin Single was definately better. "Time, is a trick....."~Prince
