Everything was fine until I noticed that my car started to get overheated when Im at a complete stop on the freeway or in a drive-through. I took it back to the radiator place and they said the fans work fine, it isnt the thermostat, and OF COURSE it didnt get hot when I was there. DONT YOU HATE THAT!!! The mechanic said it could be the head gasket, but he doubts it because there isnt water in my oil. I told him I had my oil changed a few days ago, and he said that didnt matter. If it was the head gasket, water would be in the oil. He thinks its the water pump..... any suggestions???? Sounds plausible, are the belts in good shape? Is this a dealer mech or an indy? When the car is running any funny noises? It's odd that it doesn't get hot while at the shop, I also feel this is something they should have checked while replacing the radiator to begin with... Everytime I comb my hair, Thoughts of U get in my eyes, U're a sinner, I don't care, I just want your creamy thighs

And more than likely, your water pump is the problem.

Have you seen any odd pools of liquid around the car? actually I have If they're not antifreeze or whatever coolant your car uses, I would be taking a hard look at that water pump then. Join the antithesis of the org conservative union!

Do not keep going to this shop. They should be able to tell if the water pump is your problem, not tell you "probably". There is also a definite test for a blown head gasket, and they do not always pump int the oil or vice versa.
