If you do then in what circumstances would you use it?

I distrust any civilian with a gun. Who needs a gun, except in places where guns breed guns? I mean places that are pressured into thinking a gun is something masculine. It is, of course, very silly.

We have an old antique single shot .22 rifle. It's an heirloom type of thing. I suppose the perfect circumstance for using it would be if a would-be attacker were willing to give me ample time to find a single bullet to lodge in the rusty chamber and be willing to stand about 15 degrees to the left of me while I try to fire it which might not be easy since I'm reasonably sure the trigger's rusted. Other than that, about all I could do with it is fling it at someone and then run. I'm sure it would hurt if it made contact, though!

I don't have anything.....not even mace. In college, I used to carry my cutting knives for my art classes, while walking back to my dorm. That was when it would get dark early, or either I had to stay a little late working on something. I've been procrastinating with getting some mace or pepper spray. I'm looking for something maximum strength.....to completely take eyeballs out.

Have you ever heard a story of someone whose life was saved because they had a gun? I'm not saying it's impossible, but I have never heard that story, only tragedies.

So, I think owning guns are a horrible idea, but every so often I think "what if the apocalypse comes and I have to fend off zombies?"

Plus guns are cool. But I would rather just keep a baseball bat near the door.

Don't own one. I've never felt the need for one, personally. For one, I'd be too concerned with having one in my home with my daughter around. And also, I've never lived in areas where I felt that it'd be needed.

I have a Wii gun

Don't have one. I can't really foresee the time when I would need it. Plus, I have kids, so I wouldn't feel comfortable with one in the house unless it was locked up. Then, I would probably forget the combination if I needed it quickly or I'd forget where I hid the key to the lockbox because I wouldn't unlock it very often. So, if someone broke in with a gun of their own, or something they'd simply find me huddled over my locked up gun trying to get into it when I could've used that time to run away.
