Need advice on watching TV through my computer (Comcast cable / Vista)

I'm looking for advice on connecting my cable box to my laptop (either wirelessly or not - I don't mind too much). I use the Comcast dual tuner DVR, and my computer uses Vista Home Edition. I don't have a PC TV tuner, so I imagine this would be a first step, and I searched for articles online, but technology changes so quickly that I don't know if the articles I'm finding from 2005 would still be relevant.

Any thoughts on this?
