Well most men think she is an absolute dog. I did like "Sex in the city" though.

And a seemingly great personality, a killer body & she's really good @ her craft imo. I think she works w/ what she's got very well. smile She's no beauty queen but I love that she's become a fashion icon of sorts. She's beautiful (imo) in her own way.
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Lots of celebs are quite average looking underneath it all, yet average or slightly better than average attractiveness is nice all the same. Add in a bit of charisma, some make-up, nice clothes, and only ever really being seen by the general public in a way akin to a life consisting of carefully controlled myspace angles and the end result is obviously pleasing enough to have our interest. Nothing wrong with average anyway. I think a lot of celebs we might put up there as 'beautiful' are much closer to us average regular folks than we'll allow ourselves to admit. I imagine many of us want to believe they are so much more beautiful since on the whole we love the glamour and otherworldliness of the entertainment industry. Now you can see a celeb trashed off their tits at 3am in the morning looking way below their best, where once the celebs were more mysterious and far less exposed. What we sometimes deride in celebs, or call fake, we may secretly be glad for, as revealing just how average they all are may just spoil it all.

That's true. I've seen pics of Eva Longoria without make-up, and I'm like, dayum! Plenty of women in my neighborhood look better than she does. Hollywood magic can turn just about anyone into a beauty.

see...I don't think Penelope is attractive. I think her nose is too close to her upper lip....weird.

and I think halle is boring...an attractive woman with NO favor....

in Bette Midlers defense, I know that she has always struggled with feeling attractive. I've not really ever her being described as attractive either.

The Barbie-Doll types don't do it for me. I like long dark hair, medium brown-to-dark skin, and lots of curves.

Monica Bellucci is pale though. And really not that curvey. And yes it truely is a matter of opinion. I think a young Pamela Anderson blows Monica out of the water.

Oh come on, Nicole Kidman is very good-looking. So is Lindsay Lohan who was mentioned earlier. Maybe they belong to the category of women who are appreciated by men but not by other women?

Well not everybody can be as good-looking as you. wink

I still think she looks very good though, even in Bangkok Hilton and Dead Calm where she wasn't prettied up at all.

Very true. However there is definitely a world standard of beauty that even crosses all races. Fuller lips, large eyes, symmetrical features, clear skin...and basically things that people associate with youth.

Another argument is that tanned skin is attractive, yet in other countries/continents, it is just the opposite. As is skinny supermodels here to fuller women in other countries. I agree beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I am just asking, What IS attractive to YOU?

so true nod i think it all comes down to opinion..just like u said cool

symmetrical features, a healthy physique, clear skin, attractive hair-eye color combinations, flattering hairstyle, and good posture usually = attractive.

What i hate is when someone who was pretty attractive gets TOO much work done and then screws themselves up.

I mean Michael Jackson is the obvious choice for such behavior, but have you guys seen Jenna Jameson lately? I mean for a porn star this girl was pretty hot, and now she is a TRAIN WRECK.

Kim Kardashian, yuk. It's funny. She's put on like 30 lbs since the porn video and now she's trying to draw all this attention to her ass and it's NOT ALL THAT. Certainly not in Vida Guerra's league.

Nicole Kidman is not attractive to me. Not ugly, not attractive.

Sarah Jessica Parker gives me nightmares.

Lindsay Lohan is hot in a bad girl kind of way. That and i love the redheads.

Monica Bellucci is STUNNING.

Penelope Cruz is weird looking.

Halle Berry is STUNNING.

Eva Longoria is pretty hot.

Jessica Alba and Megan Fox are so pretty they hurt my eyes.

I have always thought that beauty is fact, you either are or are not. attractiveness is more down to personal taste.

However I remember an social experiment that was done a few years ago where a bunch of men were shown a bunch of women and asked to identify the most attractive. Then a bunch of women were asked to rate the men. The majority of men will generally pick the same woman or same few women, but the women tend to be more varied in their opinions.
