BRRRRR....it's Cold. Time for Hot Cocoa.

It's pretty cold out right now. 46 degrees. Wimpy weather for some, but for here it's cold. It's gonna get down into the 30's this week too. I heart drinking hot cocoa when once the temperature drops. Right now I have some Hillside Self Heating Hot Cocoa. Let's see how this goes. If it's nasty, then at least I have back up hot cocoa.

We had snow today for the first time.

It's only early November. eek

I hate it when it's cold.

I need a big cup of hot chocolate.

I bought a cocoa maker last year. It's awesome! All my friends beg me to bring it to their house. It's great because it keeps your cocoa warm in between cups and automatically stirs it up too. I like to put whipped cream on the top of my cocoa and then put candy cane shavings on top of the cream.

i have a big fancy tin of trader joes dark sipping chocolate mix just waiting for the perfect blustery, merciless winter day. it's heavenly, especially when you've been frozen to the core by the elements and you need something hot and rich and ridiculously gratifying NOW. cloud9

I'm not a huge fan of dark chocolate, so I'm not sure I'll like drinking it. Maybe if it's tinged with mint. I love hot white chocolate though.

Yeah or marshmallows. Homemade marshmallows are really good on top.....makes the cocoa extremely rich.

What if we put some whipped cream on top, would that be an acceptable compromise?

Whipped cream's back up if marshmallows aren't available. lol I swear homemade marshmallows are a lot better than the store bought ones. People who usually hate them end up liking homemade ones.

I like both whipped cream or marshmallows in my hot chocolate.

Besides mint, good also is adding a little amaretto, or raspberry or peanut butter.
