I will be a mess when I hit 40, not looking forward to it at all!

40's not old! I'm going to be 40 in exactly one month- August 24th- and I feel (& look) great! I'm having a Prince-themed costume party, and I'm going to celebrate!! I teach high school & I look younger than some of the girls walking around the building (& I'm in better shape! )


Enjoy it, man- we have experience, but we're still young enough to appreciate & take advantage of it!

Although I will say, my 16 (soon-to-be 17) year old niece finally said to me the other day "You're getting OLD".

You are only old if you let yourself feel old! Age is only a number, it does not define who you are! So 40 is nothing, as long as you feel good & young, that's all that matters!!!

My sister from my dad's second marriage I haven't seen in quite a while and I saw her on father's day and we were talking and she asked me how old I was and when I said 37, she nearly fell out of her chair and yelled OMG you're almost 40!





For some reason she thought I was 32. She has to have known I was not 4 when she was born!

NO..40 is not OLD. My hubby is 40, and I am 38..some days I feel it, most days I don't. The kids keep me young!! my youngest is 9 yrs old..The kids sometimes make references to people being old when they have discussions and we always ask them if they think 30-35 is old then what the heck are we?...they just laugh and say we don't count in that scenario...Don't sweat it..there are folks "older" than us..lol

I'm 15, and even I don't think that's old lol.
My mom just turned 40 and I don't even realize it.
