I just saw Phillip Michael Thomas Just caught him along with some other 80's icons, doing a commercial for a 80's trivial pursuit game. Basically everyone in this commercial has gotten fat, had surgery, except Phillip who looks exactly the same! Which makes me think WHY did they get Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrel to do that LAME Miami Vice movie and basically have it become the biggest bomb of the year, i have heard the movie lost about 20-30 million, the only way they can break even would be if the DVD release sells 15 million copies. Now sure they got Foxx and Farrell so they would be a box office draw, well that didnt work, plus those two salaries are the reason the film lost money. They could have easily gotten Don Johnson, Phillip M Thomas, and Edward James Olmos (who was asked but turned it down), for half the price of Jamie Foxx. Sure Don and Phil are in there 50's but they look the same, plus they made MIAMI VICE what it was, and people who liked the show would have easily come to see them quicker then to see a Lame remake. a-ha "foot of the mountain TOUR 2009" a-ha "Ending on a High Note Final TOUR 2010" going everywhere!

That´s what I thought...they all still look great and it would´ve been better to use them instead of Farell and Fox.

Wasn't a bad movie, it just didn't match people's expectations.

Well thats the main problem, Michael Mann the original creator should have known this was not a good idea without the originals in it. I understand that they want whos hot now to draw in people to see it, but Its Miami Vice, the people that you want to go get see the movie are people that loved the show. I mean it would be like going to see Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant arent in the group. Remaking TV shows with different casts has got to be the dumbest idea, apparently Hollywood has money to burn, because with the money they lost on this film and the Dukes of Hazzard remake they could have rebuilt New Orleans. Honestly they could have pulled this movie off with Johnson and Thomas and Olmos, just give them a few extra bucks to hit the gym for a month or so, and they would have blown away in Foxx and Farrell. a-ha "foot of the mountain TOUR 2009" a-ha "Ending on a High Note Final TOUR 2010" going everywhere!

You ain't neva lied, that movie was deplorable. And I ain't saying that just because they cut my son's scene from the movie, (the boat race scene). "After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill...the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
