Is This Flirtatious Behaviour?

I was leaving work today and a male colleague said something odd...

Me: Okay, then. I'd better go or I'll miss the bus.
Him. See ya later then.
Me: Byeeee!!!
Him: Love you.
Me: What?
Him: What?
Me: What did you say?
Him: I said, "Love you".
Me:Oh...
[Vacant stare from colleague]
Me: No you don't.
Him: No, you're right - I don't. I was lying.
Me: Okay. Byeeee!!!
Him: Take it easy, Jus.

He also puts little Xs after his text messages to me sometimes.

You put that marvellously, with so few words. It appears to have been typed with such little effort yet carries so much meaning.

The teachers part was a gag - I'm weird in front of teachers because I like to keep them guessing.
With all my (male) friends I do it though. nod

It was my birthday three weeks ago. I did log-in to view my birthday thread but there wasn't one! mad

I am gay. He is straight.

Do straight men go clothes-shopping together? We've done that one afternoon.

When we go to a bar, he always buys a bottle of red wine to share - as opposed to two beers. He bought the same glasses as me too - which was a bit odd. He used to wear contacts and then just turned up one day with the same glasses as me.

Anyways, those little text "X's" can sometimes be a right bugger to interpret, so I know what you mean confused It's got me muddled up before too confuse

There's plenty of guy guys out there who are either married or have a girlfriend.

Maybe he's going through a "bi-curious" phase? shrug Maybe he's ready to "switch"? shrug shrug

Does he disconcert you or make you uncomfortabble? Let him know. Otherwise, go ahead and just have some fun.
